He had one excellent tackle in the first half. Otherwise he was redundant defensively. His crossing was terrible, time after time he was in space and he either hit the first defender or blootered it miles over everyone's heads. I'm not suggesting he can be expected to lay it on a plate every time but he consistently failed to put in a decent area - it was awful. The crossing in general was pretty poor, particularly first half, Izzy had a few shockers, as did Commons. Stokes and Hooper were pretty ****e as well.

But I'm being hypercritical. They were all excellent against Hibs, and if they're going to offdays it might as well be against dross like Dunfermline (who were possibly the worst SPL side I've ever seen, maybe even worse than Gretna).

Agreed last night was the most one sided games I've ever seen . You mention Gretna but 3 of their team now play in the English premier league , the two full backs ( mcnaughton + anr) then Danny Graham of Swansea who scores now and again . Junior teams wouldn't look at Pars players on that evidence last night , the last 25 mins they never got near our half way line !!!

It is funny Charlie, Sammy Scot and Cha have all came in for a fair bit of stick. Our fans really can be hyper critical at times. Cha is certainly a wonderful worker on the right hand side and if we judged him by the standards Martin O'Neil lays down he would be regarded as a star. Martin always claims the wide man's job is to put the ball into the centre. He claims it is up to other team members to get on to the end of them.

Am I a premature in being worried about Kris Commmons, he has had quite a few run outs this year and is still not firing. I thought he was careless with his finish last night. Of course Hooper and Stokes missed all night, but at least they have been scoring regularly all season.

That's the fecking problem. He put it straight at the first man, or into the stand, or over everybody's head; anywhere but in the centre.

I am with EspaniaCelt on this. He covered the entire flank and even popped up with a superb tackle at LB covering for a marauding defence.

The Cha gets some abuse, but he is an attacking right back......he did that.

I am not a massive fan of Dave, and whilst it was no surprise to see the Scott Brown man of the match award get awarded to Scott Brown, I thought Dave had to be in with a shout.

He's an attacking fullback who did no effective attacking whatsoever. As I said earlier, he made one great tackle. But otherwise his contribution was...?

    Two great tackles.
His starting position was so high up the park he kept an already defensive set up pinned back.

His running was excellent and he continually got in behind the opposition full back. He got them turned, and got a couple of free kicks and certainly should have gotten another one in an excellent position.

To see no value in that whatsoever is an odd position to take as far as I can see.

Being high up the park for an attacking fullback against ****e opposition when we have 75% possession hardly constitutes a stellar performance imo. The other players created space for him to put crosses into dangerous areas at least 6 or 7 times in the first half alone. He failed to do it once. Now are you really so easily pleased that you think that an attacking fullback playing in an utterly dominant team against such mediocre opposition can be so ineffective? <whistle>

He didn't create one single chance, half-chance or force a brilliant piece of defending. He had a couple of blocked crosses, a few that were cleared easily, a few that sailed over everyones heads and a few that went out of play. That's simply not good enough. He can run but so what? Every fullback we have can run. It's really a bare minimum. <laugh>

Edit: Having watched the highlights, I stand corrected - he did create one half-chance for Ledley. I take it all back. He was brilliant <whistle>

Are you sure shame you are not from the club that has now not only shamed Glasgow, Scotland but all of Britain.
There always seems to be one to start it off, giving off **** about a Celtic player. We had the idiot that started on Samaras and that
spread. Are you going to be the idiot to start the nastiness about Cha. I thought opposition supporters should pick on our players and
our supporters should back ours. It is no simple job crossing from the wing to two small attackers and getting a striker. I think the tactic
of going down the wing is a type of decoy with Celtic and no one can accuse Cha of not doing that enough and hoping to create space inside

He did his job. He attacked the byeline and was an all action player. He certainly posed a threat to the opposition.

Maybe if you watched them a few more times you might come around to thinking he played well! Joking aside though I know it's been frustrating watching him at times both in his defensive play and poor crossing but I tend to try and look for the positives in our players, if at all possible and I genuinely thought he had a good game. Each to their own opinion however! In any case, tomorrow's game is one I would really like to see our strikers making up for the wasted chances in the Dunfermline game.

To be honest, I didn't actually mean to single out Cha (although I do think his delivery was poor). The crossing in general wasn't great. Also we had god knows how many corners and I don't recall any causing any danger. Ki had a decent game but his delivery at setpieces is all too often pretty crap. And I seem to recall the great tackle that Cha had to make in the first half, all stemmed from a complete pigs arse of a short corner between Ki and Ledley which allowed Dunfermline to break.

Anyway as I said ages ago, if we're going to be wasteful then it might as well be against pish like Dunfermline. Hoping for a more clinical performance tomorrow. <ok>
