At Reading, I've heard that they monitor who's coming through the turnstiles and if an adult is seen to come through with a concessions ticket, they're checked. Dunno how it's done though. I think fans are probably video'd coming through and then they check it against the electronic ticket records? Boyf's a Reading fan and he said it's so easy to do, you ring the ticket office, they just electronically update their system to accept your card when you visit. Although one time (I think it was when they were playing our Scouse friends) when the home fans were scanning their cards, Liverpool fans were jumping in the same section of the turnstile as them so they didn't have to pay for a ticket.
NC said at the dinner there would eb a new ticketing system that was state of the art. Eventually you'll be able to put "credit" on your card and just swipe it when buying food and drink in the ground. By the way. Occasionally the minions do look at the cctv for fraudsters on tickets. Can't blame them for tightening up, he saud they lose thousands and thousands due to fraud.
this doesn't affect me as i have a season ticket but say you're just the sort of person who goes to games whenever they can, say 5 a year, and you sit in a different place every one of those times. how will you know where your seat is as the card won't say on it?
Guess you would have to pay more attention when they tell you. I can see me having problems with that.
