Woke up in the shower this morning?

In a scene right out of Dallas, I awoke this morning with the shower blasting down on me. The last thing I remember was we were managed by Steve Bruce, were 4th bottom, struggling to compete in games and looked completely shot to pieces as a club.

However, we are now 9th in the EPL; have won 10 games from 15 played (only 3 defeats); scored some of the best goals in the country; have a plus 8 goal difference; are in the quarter finals of the FA Cup and have a new England number 9. However, above all we have a little genius running the team now who is a media darling, tactical wizard and first class manager.

Now, if only I could find Victoria Principle lying in my bed, complete with suspenders and basque, my world is complete. Lol

PS there have been some comments made in my absence regarding Quinny leaving and me being happy and that I will be shouting Mon out if we lose the derby. My answer to all those is simple. **** off.

To anyone who has missed me, hello folks. Laptop and phone died the same week and I've been away with work.

3 points tomorrow, a derby day to remember (for the right reasons this time) and a semi final place to fight for.

God its good to be a Sunderland fan these days.

Great to see you back Cest, with the big one on the horizon.

I'm already caking myself, and the drivers of the Costa del Sol are in for a very difficult week....

That might be the craa twat using my name kidda.

There is only one true craa destroyer named Cest.

Mush, I've a few mag mates who couldn't wait for the derby game back in December but who have been honest enough to admit view are now very apprehensive and think Sess, McClean, Gardener, Campbell and Catts could be match winners.

I still have them as favourites but I'm looking forward to it now. I wasn't 12 weeks ago.

Syd, you can't keep a good man down. Lol

Aye, if it weren't for MON, i'd be off to a secluded place with no ****ing technology next week.

As we're away, i'd take a draw, but any result is possible.

Our guerilla tactics will suit us next week. I'm still not convinced the 2 Senegal lads can play together and if they both play, the midfield will be the game winning area. I fancy McClean, Larsson, Catts, Gardener and Colback to do their stuff.

Frazer to come on and score the winner. LOl

    Well here's the latest news...

    24th feb

1979 - Striker Gary Rowell scored a memorable hat trick at St. James Park as Sunderland defeated Newcastle 4-1. Wayne Entwistle was the other goalscorer.

1965 - Henry Hood scored the winner in this hard-fought victory over Manchester United at a packed Roker Park. Left back Alan Black made his debut.

1998 - Sunderland managed to hold on to the lead given by a first-half hat-trick from Allan Johnston as Huddersfield Town came back to score twice after the break

Welcome mate nice to see another new face.

Don't be afraid to post your thoughts on games, a lot of newbies feel intimidated for some reason.

Be careful with your user name though, as we have others parodying a poster who used to be on here, ohh......
weeks ago. (Others who had digs whilst he was missing too,)
You sound as though you will get along with him though, so once again welcome and enjoy. <ale>
You may want to change your avatar as his was very similar to your own. <ok>

New England number 9?...You mean Frazer Campbell? Rooney, Defoe, Bent, Welbeck, Sturridge. He won't even be on the plane mate.

Tactical Wizard?...You mean Martin O'Neill? Counter attacking football does not amount to wizardry. He is a great man manager though, that I'll give him...could teach AVB a trick or two.

With all due respect, the team in 14th could beat you this weekend and end up needing 2 points to leapfrog you. WBA just ruthlessly battered their rivals on their own soil. Whilst you're still an in-form team, you need to beat crap like Arsenal when they come to town, or at least get a draw.

It's not just the counter attacking though, it's changing players positions, adding extra midfielders, moving the ball to the centre, to suit the opposition.

That very much IS tactical genius, the art of spotting your opponents strengths and nullifying them

Re WBA battering their rivals in a derby, means **** all, different occasion, and Wolves are in a steep decline.

Your lads lost a derby 6-1 at home this season, do you think it really, looking at the proximity of you both in the league, made a difference on the whole?

The fact the team in 14th is 5 points behind us is a stunning achievement, we were 18th when MON took charge, 9 points off the top 10.
