I'll be writing this match thread in an ultra-succinct, minimal bullshit style. Any further expense of words and energy could possibly lead to admin/liquidation. Portsmouth vs Leeds. Sat Feb 25th. 15:00. Fratton Park. 22nd vs 10th. Last games: 3-3, 2-2 and 1-0. Overall head-to-head: Leeds wins - 16. Pompey wins - 5. Draws - 7. Top scorers: Huseklepp (6) vs McCormack (16). Top assistants: Lawrence (6) vs Snodgrass (11). My prediction: a convincing 2-0 from Neil Warnock's revitalized Whites, and a sense of hope about our huge away following. COME ON UNITED.
nice match thread. I expect us to line-up looking something like this although anyone's guess is as good as mine: -----------------Lonergan-------------- Connolly----Lees----Bruce/O'Dear----Pugh Snoddy------Clayton---Brown---Townsend ------------McCormack---Becchio--------- Our defence could look like anything for this game, I reckon NW will look to change things around. I reckon we will win 3-1 with McCormack, Lees and Snoddy getting the goals and Husseklepp getting there goal. I really hope we win this confidently because after this game we have a very tough run which we need all the confidence for given our league position.
Neil Warnocks already admited we dont have the right players for a 442. so id guess something like this: ------------Lonergan Connolly----Lees----Bruce----White --------Brown---Clayton Snoddy---McCormack--Sam ------------Becchio The 3 playing behind becchio having plenty of freedom to interchange and therefore making harder to be 'marked out of the game'
"last games" you forgot to mention we beat them 1-0 earlier this season. Suppose that's what you get when you make cutbacks on match threads due to debts
Good luck lads, lets hope your boys 'administer' a damn good thrashing to those heather selling, tarmac laying Skates....
I wouldn't mind that team Logi, think its far too attacking and the defence before now have shown how much they struggle when they get limited support from the midfield which would be the case in that formation imo. I'd play Pugh instead of white though, white needs constant covering and help and he won't get it from Townsend and Brown and Clayton have there own job to do so they can't be constantly worrying about White
Oops. Edited now. 3-0 now he's gone to Brum? This is probably going to be the easiest win of the season. Portsmouth are absolutely pathetically poor and weak.
If any of you Leeds posters are any good please bring your boots with you, we may need you on the bench.
...and bring plenty of 50P's. There's a chance the leccie might get cut off when they try to turn on the floodlights What have we come to?
