wll why would they have they ever played an anthemn before? I mean i'm not counting the very traditional fa cup playing of abide... in case the welsh missed it there's something called an act of union and this is an english competition being played, not an international...
It's english and welsh competition to be fair and I may be wrong but if it was an FA cup final they would play both anthems the Football League stopped doing it in league cup and play off finals etc because of the opposing fans booing it

Tisn't! it's a completion open to clubs in the English F.A. leagues. Just because Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham got sick of playing the likes of Colwyn Bay, and naffed off to the English leagues, does not make it an international competition with any need for national anthems. There will just be cries of YNWA from our fans and "Baaaaaaaa" from theirs..
No it isn't, it is an English competition. If Cardiff win, they are not allowed to play in the Europa League because they are a Welsh club qualifying via an English route. Same if Wrexham or swansea were to achieve a European qualification spot.
