What a joke. No offence to the man but this is ridiculous and barring a miracle they will be relegated. Sack Mick McCarthy then appoint his assistant because no one wants it.
Have you read the article on SSN? They think hes the right man to keep them up... Hahaha! Since they sacked mccarthy i hope they go
Could have been worse they could have had the obese geordie fool we had to put up with. I think the thousands of objections from wolves fans made sure they couldn't appoint Bruce.
Well the stupid way Wolves had approached this means it was probably the only real option; no manager worth their salt would take this after the fiasco of a bunch of others turning it down and a 'keep us up or your sacked' sword hanging over their head. I don't think I was even aware that he's was assistant there already.
I doubt even Bruce is stupid enough to take on the job of keeping them up, especially if they are saying "keep us up or you're sacked"
he was certainly interested in the job and had an interview, if he was offered the job he would have taken it imo
Bruce didn't want it as it was until the end of the season (which is why people like Curbishley and Walter Smith also turned it down) - The Wolves board have no idea and are a complete disgrace if this is the way they think. They are in a position where they have a chance of staying up but the "team spirit" is already lacking due to recent results etc. To ask a manager to come in and stay until the End of the seasson and then make a decision is disgraceful - if they had offered someone a 2 and a half year deal then I reckon they'd have got someone - instead they have promoted (with all due respect) Connor to do the job - and he will most likely fail and they will have to try to attract a manager from the Championship!! Stupidity - hope they get relegated!
if that's true then i stand corrected, Wolves have made a major **** up by this and i reckon they are certs to go down now, with wigan and blackburn hopefully
They missed an obvious choice. If they wanted a big name with experience of taking a crap team on the basis of it being just up to the end of the season, then She-ra should have been the first choice .
No, not in a million years. They need a man with fresh ideas, they need to gamble and have a man who will not be scared to mix it up and go for it. That said, they are Wolves..... We'll have Fletcher and Jarvis when they go down please! Maybe Roger Johnson as well, they can keep O'Hara, his missus will only ****ing whinge (smashing player tho)
Looks like a similar appointment to when we gave the managers job to Ricky Spragia. He is there to try and keep them up. If he does they can then decide whether to leave him in charge or appoint someone else, if he doesn't then it's goodbye Terry and they do appoint someone else.
