I may need help with an unfortunately happening in my life. Wife has caught me reading this site and making entries. She called this a networking site just the same as facebook - I have steadfastly refused to join any social networking sites but I cannot convince her that it is totally different because the this a bloke only thing. So far I am losing big time. I am not scared of her or anything like that but I need advise on how to not join Facebook. Must go now - Coronation St has just finished and the bar is opened. Just in case - have a good weekened.

The tinternet gives you the chance to broaden your mind, and knowledge, without having to be away from her, problem is, what site. Twitter and Facebook were infact your first thoughts, however, both are full of woman, Rusians looking for a husband, tarty types wanting dirty talk(I promise they are there if you look hard enough), no way would you consider any site with loose women. not606, a site of manly men with the odd stray lady, you have an ignore button for those.Main talk is association football, men in shorts, a team of young boys called the academy, our love for a tall Irish gent, followed by our love for an American man and of course our never ending love for an Irishman called Martin. That should put her mind at rest.

Is your wife against you joining a social networking site because their are other women on them?? or because you will spend loads of time on there instead of spending time with her?? If its the first one she obviously does not trust you very much, I would tell her to trust you and just get on with it. If she does not trust you to come on a football forum and talk about football with like minded fans you have got more problems than being persuading her to let you use the Internet and I would suggest marriage guidance. But seriously just let her read some of the forum she will soon get bored and realise its hardly a porn fest.
