Thank goodness Spurs have been in it every year, give or take!

It is a commonly held opinion across Europe that Liverpool provide good European competition.

How is someone who has barely left his house let alone the UK expected to know that though, AFD?

  4. Two points:

    1) if we win the cup but make top four, the Europa League spot goes to the next placed team in the league and not the league cup runner-up. It only goes to the runner-up in the FA Cup, not the League Cup.

    2) With Cardiff being a Welsh team in the English leagues, they are not permitted to compete in European competition via an English qualification route.

I personally can't wait for the spuds lousy europa performances to bite them... they so lucked into rafa's inter melt down last time...

If they get another hard team in 3rd round qualifying for 3rd OR worse get 4th or 3rd seeded in their group they could easily end up out of the cl.... lol... the boasting of everyone about the CL our fans included is predicated on nobody actually seeing just how far behind the rest england has slumped i nthe past few years.

One can only hope the germans smash the spanish debt ridden society like they are smashing the greeks so all their little looop holes to pay guys twice what we can ends... thye'll have to continue the technocrat takeover in italy too... lol

no spurs have so much to get over to have their fans coming in to a thread unconcerned with them.... start with redknapp, then fight off the big moeny for modric and bale this summer and then get into the group phase before acting like you're god's gift.... saha and nelson to take europe by storm <rofl>

So the Euro debt crisis is nothing more than an elaborate cover for the Germans to gain dominance over European Football? Who'd have thunk it?

I thought it was just to get them cheap holidays, where Greek and Spanish waiters could be paid peanuts, and Spanish and Italian wine would cost less than a bottle of water...

If (when) 'Appy 'Arry goes to the England job, Spurs are looking at having a massive correction, unless they can attract Jose Mourinho to manage them - the likes of Curbishley won't be able to hold that squad together. Real will take Bale and probably Modric (in a swap deal with Kaka perhaps?) VDV will follow the money. And I expect a couple of others will leave too...

Spurs fan <doh> Couple of decent seasons in the last century and you now think you are world beaters. Wait till 'arry' takes the England job (he will), Bale, Modric, Adebayor etc will be out of the door quicker than you can blink, and then you can slide down back to where you belong, mid-table mediocrity.

    Spurs=flash in the pan
Liverpool=The most successful club in the history of English football

    Show some respect boy.

doesnt need them..might miss them though...i think football isnt set in stone..whoever plays in it has deserved it and no bloody team has a right to demand its own presence in a competion.....if stevenage qualified for it id think..bloody well done!

a world beater can be a has been within the space of 2 matches in football..tis all i am saying....so Liverpool is not missed because wether you like it or not the likes of Man City and ourselves in our one season more than made up for your absence...and for me to have an opinion is my right just as much as a Liverpool fan who for some reason thinks that his club is the fukin umbilical cord of European football?

get a fukin grip on your arrogant selves..

It's funny how Enlgands european rankings as a nation peaked at the same time as Liverpool peaked in the comptetition a few years back. Liverpool were also ranked #1 in Europe by UEFA.

And if we're not careful, as a nation, our pathetic showings over the last few years will, if left uncorrected, mean Enlgand will lose that 4th qualifying place to another country.

We are still at the beginnings og a huge rebuilding programme. Dom't think for one minute that the current squad/team is anytihng like the finished article.

It's a very healthy Work in Progress and we'll come out of it stronger

Welcome to the blinkered, arrogant and slightly deranged mind of the average spurs fan. Like I keep telling them, come back and crow when you actually win something.
