Hi Chris, must say I am surprised (but pleasantly so) to see your team doing so well after the loss of so many key players in the summer, sounds like Dyche has done well for you, is he popular amongst the fans?

 

I suspect any neutral who saw you lose to Doncaster and Bristol City in the space of a week would probably say something similar.

And then repeat it when Bristol City completed the double.

 

Yes he is popular amongst the fans, some asked questions of what he was doing back in Sep/Oct but he has come through for us

 

Games like this are the ones i always look forward to at this stage of the season. Barring a catastrophe (and they do happen) we should be safe and we'll have a high flying team visit us with a huge support. These are the matches that often bring out the best in us so bring it on.

Can anyone explain how last I heard Pompey were in the ****, may not see out the season and barred from taking on new players and the first bit of news I see this evening is they have a new player on loan. I seem to remember they celebrated going into administration last time by taking on more players. The mind boggles.

 

Our losses in those matches were nowhere near as bad as your boys performance earlier this season both in terms of performance and scoreline


Plus half our team was injured

Should be a good game regardless, few of the family are Watford fans so is a must win for me

 

And your boys' performance then was absolutely nothing compared to ours against Spurs later in the season - even though we lost, we made the third top team in England look decidedly poor - by their own admission.

Moral? You shouldn't judge a team on one performance. Others have come here doing that & have gone away licking their wounds.

I must admit to feeling more confident with the players we have brought in this week Nothing to lose have we as the Saints have already counted this as a dead cert win for them, after all the beat us at their place!

But those teams were below us in the table! How are you so certain of beating a team who have been on a good run, bar one result, and have new blood in the squad, and are above and have beaten the teams who beat you!
