Looking for a bonanza day at Sandown tomorrow. In the opener at 1.50 I like the look of MY MATE VINNIE 8-1. Not quite the typical laid out JJ horse but not far off judged on his last run. We know his conditional is a decent jock and he has a great shout. Likely to be punted I would think. Later on the card at 4.10 I will be having another dabble on AATHER 20-1 who is very well in if returning to anything near his best. The yard are in better form having had a virus earlier in the season and the claimer takes a very handy 10lb off. Noel Fehilly and Emma Lavelle should kick off their partnership with a couple of winners if my information is anything to go on. CLARET CLOAK 3.00 and LE BEC 5.10 are both strongly fancied.
Any views on Memorabilia in the opener? I thought he travelled really well last time out and should be better for that run (still very novicey)
Haha very novicey! How many times have we said that this season about a Ferguson hurdler....he can do everything but teach them to jump. I dont think the handicapper has let him in very lightly to be honest NASS but one thing I would say is that he wont mind the stiff finish.
3.35 is a very tough race between Toubab and Bellvano - hard to split really, bellvano won very easily lto but toubab has 8 lb ALSO is he one of the horses with well publised cough at the nicholls yard
In the Warwick bumper tomorrow CAROLES SPIRIT hails from a really nice line and is worth keeping an eye on in the market.
Its funny because I thought he travelled all over the field at 'Rasen (2.5 matched in running) and I thought the faster ground and stiffer finish would suit him perfectly. A nice positive ride from the jockey who I rate one of the best in the race, and he can win this race...
I did say he will relish the stiff finish....have you been on the whisky again.....but I dont think he has been let in lightly
EGYPT MILL SPIRIT is thrown in - a seriously well handicapped horse. The only problem is the yard ffs not often you can say that about the Paul Nicholls stable
Would you not be wiser studying for Cheltenham at this stage Wooly?! I'm eagerly awaiting my Festival Preview Guide to come through the post anyday soon
You would think so... lol just thought Id do a little research- and im still no none the wiser!!! All I know is Ballabriggs and cappa bleu are on my shortlist at the mo. But as you say back to cheltenham!
Ah west tip. My 1st ever back. Was that 86? My mother got me 5 packets of pannini stickers for winning. I was made up
I know Claret Cloak was strongly fancied LTO and ended up 5th so I wouldn't have your house on it but good luck
