Just so you all know, I've just turned the Wolves job down. If anybody else would like to turn the job down, please say so on this thread... Seriously though, what on earth is going on at Molineux? So many managers have turned the job down - why exactly? On the face of it, it looks a pretty good job. Ok, they are struggling and could go down but the ground is good, the players have potential and they're a fairly big club with room for improvement. At the beginning of the season I felt they might be a surprise package - I couldn't have been more wrong! Is it because their fans turn on their managers so quickly? When people like Steve Bruce and Walter Smith turn the job down there must be something really wrong at that club!
In my opinion it was a mistake to ditch Mick McCarthy. He got them where they were and stood a sporting chance of keeping them there.Same as QPR and Colin, sack in haste, repent at leisure.
Lee Clarke would be the best bet. Always comes over as being a guy with a brain, unlike a few around i.e Colin,Keano,Roeder,Grant etccccccccccc.
It seems after initially being keen to put their names forward (Curbishly & Bruce), things have gone wrong after the interview process. Maybe the owner/chief exec didn't exactly endear themselves to the candidates?
Is it time for Glen Roeder to return to management or maybe even Gary Megson? No, I have it - Peter Grant as manager and Bryan Hamilton as is assistant.
Do you know what, I'm going to say something that will shock you - Roy Keane actually comes across likes he knows exactly what he's talking about, when I hear him on ITV.
Stop Press ! Evidently rumours abound on Twitter, (that's according to radio Norfuck, I don't tweet), that Glen Roeder is set to be unveiled as new Wolves boss. Oh Pleeease let it be true, I like many other City fans loathe Wolves (Muscat!), just imagine the reception he'd get when Wolves come to Carrow Road on 24th March !
Surely it would have to be red carpet time and a full minute of clapping Roeder before kickoff. After all, the guy did the club a great service. We'd never have been where we are now without him.
No malevolence involved but if Wolves are in trouble it makes it easier for us and I wouldn't mind a punt on Fletcher alongside Holt.
