1pt Sadler's Risk - Triumph @ 7/1 Entered up in the Adonis and I think the field for the Adonis is there for him to take. If he wins it well he will be around 4/1.
Okay, I've taken my first dabble into Gold Cup territory. 2 pts win Grands Crus (14s on Betfair) Obviously we all know its up in the air and that the RSA is more likely, but at that price I thought a dabble made sense, and Long Run was not impressive again last week, Kauto has been magnificent twice this season at his age, a third time is a huge ask with an extra 2f. I think if he were to run he'd be a really intriguing addition to the race, especially if given a patient ride.
Yes, i agree, surprised Grand Crus isnt longer odds for the GC to be honest. Surely better backing at shorter odds NRNB?
We arent talking big stakes lads, just a few pennies, literally. One of my favourite horses in training, and his cruising speed is what means he ought to not be inconvenienced by a Gold Cup pace. According to Pipe they are assessing his jumping at Gold Cup speed, that os their concern, as they say they believe his engine is definitely of a Gold Cup speed standard. I've updated the front page by the way with any more bets you have posted
Guys what do you make of weird al's chances e/w in the gold cup-he was gaining on long run in his last race and i think this is one of the weakest g cup's in many year and is fairly open
I'm adamant there'll be a shock winner but that doesn't help out much if looking at finding teh winner. My main bet will be a lay of Kauto Star with a smaller lay of Long Run. As for finding the winner not sure I can help, I thought Midnight Chase was value at 50s but not at 16s, Burton Port ran a blinder on his comeback and maybe the Spring will bring about a better performance from Diamond Harry, perhaps The Giant Bolster will stop kicking every fence out the ground and take the Gold Cup route. All in all I don't know, but I'm laying the back side off Kauto....
Really - I thought they'd be even more cautious before Gold Cup. Enjoy, it'll be an experience you won't forget, take pictures and post here - I still have a picture of me sitting on the 3rd last fence clear blue sky and bright sunshine, then a few hours later two of the horses I backed fell over at the fence !!! Have fun
I'm thinking the same, Grizzly. I'm really really hoping Kauto will win, but my money will be on Synchronised (if I have bet, that is).
I am amazed that people are thinking of an upset in the Gold Cup, I really have it as a one horse race with Kauto Star a firm second best. Its amazing how views differ.
Good news for the Quevega fan club as Mullins reports her "in great form" and "certainly as good as she was anyhow." http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/...ME=racing/12/02/23/manual_114855.html&BID=465
Mr Henderson’s ‘thrilling trio’, became his ‘dynamic duo’ following Spirit Son’s injury, and now alas, following Grandouet’s exit, Binocular is his ‘sole star’. However, who could ask for a better arrow to fire. All systems go then for Binocular's 2nd crown and the forum's favourite trainers 6th.
