Drudeboy, good to come up with a named player replacement but how woudl buying a defender who in you words are not great defensivley help us chnage the demise we have had in the defence ranks? we need people who getting a clean sheet means the same as a striker scoring goals ... gallas, campbell, TV adams, bould etc etc.. ferdinnad does it for man utd ledley king and other spud defenders plus teams like stoke/everton look for defenders who can defend and then work from that ... we have enough midfield and strikers to do the attacking so for me the highest priority on any defender we go to market for is proof they can "defend" then we can start to make the changes needed to be really consistant
I'm well up for this game If we win, it will be a really important 3 pts towards maintaining our Top 4 spot.
if we win it will put us 7 points behind spurs .. which while still large ain't as bad as 13 point difference!! it could give us confidence for the coming hard games we have (equally losing could set us up for them negatively) but as bad as year as its been ..if we win 7 points to make up in 12 games could be something to aim at however far removed from what we all wanted back in august.
indeed ............ not but if we win i don't want wenger or the players saying " we have turned the corner" or that one was for the fans etc... if we lose it will be bad as we have lost so many games already .. a win changes nothing but the points difference , we still need major surgery win or lose.
I think we need to take each game as it comes this season. Hopefully starting with a win at home against the Spuds on Sunday We can only start to make changes after the season has finished.
but as ive said before ....... whislt i think we need drastic changes and things are really wrong at the club .... i won't be booing during the game .. please lads even if the players are losing dont give spurs fans the satisfaction of hearing us boo our own team on our own patch .. it wont help it will make matters worse .... things will change im sure but booing .. that wont change anything but lower other peoples perception of us as supporters on the day
just for the record, i'm going to set off from my house at 12:00, take the tube to Arsenal station, :-D.
