whether youre intrested or not, ive been a season ticket holder since i was 5, thats 26 years, when dennis smith was in charge and kieron brady was about to destroy all and assunder, i went to liverpoool away in those years and sang "dennis smiths - red and white army" for the full match, with thousands of others. i thought malcolm crosby was class and once saw phil gray eat a pie with one hand and pick his dirty toe nails with the other!!!! ive experienced more lows than highs over the years - but none higher than beating the mags 2-1 with quinn and phillips and none lower than the 5-1 drubbing we received last term. nowadays i get to every home league game but dont make the cup games - thats about to change after i felt rightly embarrassed at the attendance against aresenal. i suppose i never really post on this forum because i sometimes struggle to put my point accross coherently and objectivley, that and someone else has made the point about 2 days before me.....!!!! i would hate to see the forum go the way of the skunks' and so will make an effort to contibute and participate in more "debate".
Good post Paul, think you've summed up the life of a Sunderland fan well there. I also read this forum a lot but only get little bits of time to do so and so rarely think of something that hasn't already been said. Thanks to everyone who posts on here frequently, I too will try harder to post more, be gutted if this forum died
Judging by your first post lad you won't have any problems. Welcome aboard, I look forward to exchanging views with you and hopefully celebrating great success. One word of advice is never to take anything to heart/personaly or let anyone put you off from putting your opinion across.
Dennis Smith, went to York in a Lamborghini. In a shop he bought some class, and called it Gabbiadini! Loved that song! Welcome aboard mate.
