Hey MelbourneRangers14, you're in State 3 now aren't you. That makes you better than Nick Ward. When do you sign for the Rs?
Absolutely Salmon like, sadly only got the picture, no video!!! It's encouraging though, he plays for South Melbourne too, as was quoted on the offish. I'm sending him over in September with his boots, got Sparky's number? On the Petros front, saw him as a 15/16 year old in 2 games - strong and skillful (looked it in U18's games). Better than his team mates at school, similar to others when he played for the National Training Centre - the melbourne version of the Australian Institute of Sport. Lots of tricks/stepovers and confident with it. Maybe one for the future. Also, I agree with other posters that the A League is not good (attracts "end of career" players wanting cash and a suntan) but there is talent here at youth level. Of the 3 Aussie boys that made the top 100 of the Nike Challenge - one made the top 8, the other 2 made the last 32. Clubs here play hoofball and youngsters who are more technically proficient need to head overseas to develop.
Ian, you taking a passing interest in Victory now Magilton's in charge? Interesting to see how frail they are defensively sort of brings back some bad memories, ie the infamous Watford away game. Wonder if he'll headbutt Kewell?
Yeh I hope you don't think I'm a hoofer!!!! Apparently this boy has a bit of self confidence about him!!! Only 17 will be a raw talent if anything!! Give him a couple of years with Steve Gallen and hopefully he develops nicely!!
