Whatever the future holds for Sunderland we know that the past 6 years, the Quinn years, will be looked back on as a success, he will get his tribute and yes its a sad day for us fans but for Quinn, its a good day. He can now get his life back, on Saturday he can have a lie in, no flight to Brum, watch a football match then a flight back home to arrive late, one more weekend buggered. He can lie on a beach in the summer, no will he come, will he leave, can we afford, relaxation for Quinny. It must have been hard in the past few months, to watch a manager you brought in struggle, to know what must be done but not wanting to do it. Lets move on now and let Quinny enjoy his life, he will always be welcome, always be a part of us, one of us but its now it's the O'Neill years and we can only hope that when its time to see MON go he can look back and know he has done well, just like Quinn can. Thank you Niall, enjoy your life, you have earned it.
Spot on Syd...He is a living legend, and I'm certain he will still come to our games every now and again..
He wont be able to keep away imo - I'm sure he will be at the cup games He will eventually become ambassador for our club along with Jimmy or some other position, I cant see him not being involved with us at some point in the future.
To be honest lads, I think he has left us in good hands. He can enjoy being a supporter like the rest of us now and also knowing he has stamped him place as a true legend in SAFC history. I am also sure if things went tits up in the future Quinn would be back to sort things out.
