My early morning walk on a Wedneday always ends with me putting the bins out, mine and my old neighbours, so what I hear you ask.

Well bin day tells me that we are in midweek,on that road to the weekend game so its time to look ahead, and I do with some optimisum.

3 good games coming up, WBA and Newcastle away then Liverpool at home, all winable but also all losable, the big thing now is I know that its unlikly we will lose them, the other side really will have to win them, we no longer give games away.

Its taken me some time to get used to this sit back and hit them on the break malarky, mainly because it needs faith to get any enjoyment from it, faith that the team can handle it and that takes time.

I now have faith in the squad to deliver and squad is the word, I know that replace OShea or Turner with Brown and Kilgallon and they will deliver, same with Mig and Westy, Gardner and Vaughn, Colback and Meyler even Sess could be replaced by Campbell and I would trust Campbell to deliver.

All now have simple roles, they know them, understand them and stick to them, whats more they do it right up to the final whistle.

Its because of that confidence I have that I go into these next three games with excitement and expectation rather than dread and fear, I cnt say we will win but I do know we will turn up and give our all.

But, thers is always a but, the one area that still needs some convincing for me is up front and the day I hear a starting 11 with either Bendtner, Wickham or Ji starting, all three have the ability and potential to deliver but all three still need to convince me they can.

In spurts they have shown me a glimpse of what they can do but I need them to join the other players who I know will do their job and do it for 90 plus minutes.

It would take one almighty collapse to see us draged into a relegation scrap but I'm gettting greedy now, I want us to be fighting for a top 8 finish and a cup.

So lets go for three mor points on Saturday and when your chance comes Mr Bendtner/Ji/Wickham let me see you grab it with both hands.

Thanks for reminding me about the bins Syd. Mrs Shacks goes mental when I forget to put them out.

I still have a dreaded fear about the derby match but I suppose that's because of our recent performances against them. However saying that I do trust MON & the boys to thrash 'the bastards' this time.

I agree -if one out of Bendy,Ji or Wickham could perform consistently we would all be even happier than we are now.3 points at the Hawthorns will set us up nicely for

a trip to the beautiful SDA.

A trip to Wembley is achievable and would be the icing on the cake.

Its a sad reflection on my exciting life that bin day is one of the highlights, that and my Teco visits.

I'm sure the nerves will start next week about the derby but right now I'm fine, I don't expect us to win every game but I do expect a loss to be like the Arsenal one, a feeling of bugger, the lucky buggers rather than, well that was a shambles, don't think we can ask for more right now.

Bin day for you but sit back night for me here. Just home from a weekly meal out at the local ex=serviceman's club, beers cold in the fridge and whatever the wife watches on the box. For the first time in ages I am totally relaxed for upcoming fixtures as I don't expect us to be beaten for some time yet. MON has that effect on my thinking.

    Bin day.
Is that when you put yourself out there only to be used, emptied & tossed back into the gutter?

Syd you are soooo wrong! Bin day is Thursday!! Well it is in Spennymoor anyway.
I think MON is yet to be convinced by our strikers also Syd hence why Sess is starting up front alone mostly. I still think Sess is better in a free role in midfield.
It is nice to have a positive outlook to upcoming games though.
Now all I need is someone to work my shift on derby day ffs!

Is it really sexist to be glad my husband's coming back from his sister's in Runcorn a day early which means I won't have to put the bins out on Friday?
