Match Thread: Watford v Southampton

Fair weather? Its been frigging freezing down here.

Attendances are always going to rise with success, I am guessing you filled Vicarage road to capacity when you were in the Prem. Problem you get when things aren't going well and you have a a large ground, the place looks empty even tohugh the attendances were still very good for the league we were in.

 

So thats 100 posts in one night on the MT, and its not even Wednesday proper yet!!! Crikey. This might be the biggest yet.

 

It aint much warmer at the vic either lol.

hey are bound to, and we did pack the Vic every week. But i dont respect fans like that. It was being said that Watford were a smaller team, by attendance. Well you only get 5000 more per game than us, and we are a stand down which could give us a potential for 5000 more fans even if we dont get promoted.

i've always had good times with Southampton fans ...was fun down there in October...

 

Anything could happen in this game . All depends on which Southampton turns up. I'm not particularly confident

 

So many factors can effect the size of a crowd from the cost of a ticket, the club giving away freebies to local schools and all sorts. I don't buy into the whole my club is bigger than yours etc. Unless you support the UTD's, Liverpools and Arsenals of the world the other clubs will always be kinda similar with good periods and bad periods in their history. At the moment Saints are looking like they could be heading into one of those good periods and with the season we have should feel confident in getting a result on Saturday.

 

Yeah,must of been fun watching tiki taka football at St Mary's.

 

i don't know what that is...but it was fun with the Southampton fans before and after the match..during it i was sitting with Watford fans..obviously!

Trust Southampton is a dump and has never been done up after the war, I know I spent too long living there. Something to make the Southampton fans laugh...maybe if the link works.

Still I fully expect you guys to turn us over this weekend although after our result at palace expect it to be close.

Good luck for the rest of the season, Southampton holds some fond memories for me.

In fairness to Southampton, we have the same proportion of plastics as anyone else. We would sell out every home seat every game if we were on course to achieve automatic promotion to the Premier League.

 

Some of us will be there when we can.
