Anyone who has any doubt about the partial way Scottish Football is run has only to read an article by the St Johnstone Chairman.
Without mincing his words he clearly stated that Scottish Football could not survive without a strong Rangers.
Have no doubt, when he says a strong Rangers he means a Rangers side that is better than Scotland. A look back at Scotland's Football and everytime Celtic, despite the cheating against them, won the league, the cry went up in Scottish Football that something would have to be changed as football
could not survive without a rampant bullying Rangers.
When Celtic won 9 in a row starting in the mid 60's Rangers persuaded the powers that be in Scottish Football to change format of league, as it did not suit Rangers.

All the voices from Politicians and football people all are for strengthening Rangers. They really are showing their true colours.

It's funny when we win the league , Scottish football is always poor, yet when Rangers win the standard of football is always overlooked . My hatred of Scottish chairman is John Yorkston ( I used to work with him !!) he always gets his dig in at us , but totally overlooks Rangers stole 80 thousand off his club

I don't remember an outcry anytime Celtic won the league - when did this happen?

How did a change in league format benefit Rangers whilst hindering Celtic?

Do you not think that losing two home gates a season from Rangers is going to pose any financial impact to his club?

Do you not think a smaller TV deal and lower sponsorhip monies are going to impact his club?

As for strengthening Rangers, I haven't heard any politican say anything other than they hope rangers survive.

Offering to clean his windscreen everyday when he stops at traffic lights doesn't constitute 'working with him'.

The same as him telling you to '**** off and get that manky celtic shirt off his windscreen' doesn't constitute a hatred of celtic. Just you.

St Johnstone's ex chairman is a dick who sold the supporters clubs from under their feet in Perth.

I've met him once and he was a total big headed ****er.

Least he speaks the truth though.

For little t When Celtic was dominating the league year after year from the mid 60's. Ranger employed a firm of consultants which found that Rangers were consistently getting poorer results from the bottom teams than Celtic were. The firm of consultants recommended a league with fewer teams. Rangers approached their friends in the higher echelons of Scottish Football and a new smaller league was created for the next season which Rangers won.
Don't let the facts blinker your views t.
Politicians, that don't seem to worry about effecting their National team or Celtic or other qualifying SPL teams from playing European Football, are talking about a strong Rangers team. In Scotland a strong Rangers team is a better team than Celtic. When Rangers dived from 15 points in the lead to 4 points in arrears we were all told by Rangers fans, so what weakest team ever. No football man or Politician has said anything about returning Rangers to their weakest team ever position.
We all hear about buses and buses leaving the towns and cities of SPL teams every fortnight to go to the pit of doom. Surely if those rowdy bears stayed with their own club, which basically normally has the same moral values, as Rangers, complete hatred of Celtic, then that increase attendance would bring about even more fans.
Nearly every club in SPL would have a chance of domestic cup semi-final at least every other season, also a chance of qualification to Europe.
Less police charges as the diehard riotous Rangers fans would be scarcer. Better distribution of tv money.
