http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2619084,00.html Seems a bit cr*p (for me anyway) in effect if I'm honest. Someone who just goes to these two will get in there ahead of someone who has perhaps attended 20 games this season but can't make these two due to work commitments or money spent on previous games. Hey ho, that's business I guess. I imagine/hope some will be on General Sale. I can make Ipswich but not midweek games such as Barnsley in Southampton due to where I am. DTLW
Your answer to it is a bit daft if I'm honest. It's better than last year, when anyone could just turn up. How many people are going to have attended 20 games but won't be able to attend these two? About 10 max I expect. It's a pretty good system, and if people are prepared to fork out a fair bit of money for these two games it shows quite a bit of desire to be around for the last game - cheer up!
I agree it is better than last year. Hacks me off a bit though, not living locally, I can't get to midweek. I can get to Barnsley game but not Ipswich. But I guess it's fairer that people go to these two and get to go to Coventry instead of someone going to about 8 other games this season home and away. Improvement, yes, but still alienates a lot of people.
It's always hard to suit everyone that is true. I've never understood why they don't have a points system.
in all honesty, i cant see them shifting many more Barnsley or Ipswich tickets by doing this. I mean people arnt gonna spend over £50 for so they can tickets for the last home game, when there is only a chance it will be significant (promotion). Also one of these games is on a Tuesday and with 10 games still to go after the last one, it must make sales even less likely. I for one with just be holding on and waiting till they go on General Sale or as the only other game they can now link it too is Reading, wait till then. I think they were just using the last game in hope to boost these sales, but i cant see it working that well tbh.. Anyone disagree?
That's probably about right to be honest. They'll get a bit of money in, but should be plenty tickets around for the last game even if it's going to the wire.
