Hmm, I feel we can do 2-0 at the Bridge. I believe we can do it, doesn't mean we will.

If we set up EXACTLY like we did against Valencia we will definitely do it <ok> that line up today was risky and they did play well, it was just too attacking.

Well I know you only need a 2-0 win but I cant see it for you boys in the second leg. I just cant see how you keep lavezzi, cavani and hamsik from scoring. Napoli will be suited at your place because your pitch is small. They can play compact and deep and just destroy you on the break.

Its not their speed which is dangerous but its there quality. We saw today that those players were the difference. In every other department chelsea are the better side. But I guess thats why forwards go for big money.

I'm not convinced by Napoli's defence. Attack wise, they're excellent, but the CB's seem suspect. I can see Chelsea turning this around in the 2nd leg. Whether Boas lasts that long, who knows?

With Chelsea's inability to keep clean sheets at the moment I can't see past Napoli scoring at the bridge. You would need to outscore them, 3-4 goals needed to see you through. Seems a tall order at the time being. But the replay isn't until three weeks from tonight, this might give you the time to sort the defence out as you'll desperately need to be better than this to progress.

I think with JT they would have a good chance. But there is only so much they can do with cahill and luiz at the back. Luiz is a disaster and cahill is just not on the same level as cavani and lavezzi. Thats the problem. JT has a hisotry of locking down some of the best forwards in the world.

You do stand a chance in the second leg if the Napoli coach over-complicates it tactically. If he's too negative then the front three might be out of the game for long periods, reducing the goal threat.

But on the subject of tactics, I think that the Italians are still tactically superior to the English and Spanish, and this allows them to compete despite having an inferior league with inferior players. Napoli managed the game really well tonight, just as Milan did last week. The game was stretched because Napoli made it stretched, but that will probably be harder to do at the Bridge.

2-0 is doable at home but someone will have to keep Cavani on a very tight leash.

Arsenal4life - we can discuss the merits of the distinctly average looking Milan team that currently leads Serie A and spanked your shower last week on your board if you like.

I'm basing my assessment on what I've seen in the CL - these are the best teams their countries have to offer - it's reasonable to judge them based on that.
And yes that does imply that the PL is a pile of crap this year.

Glad we scored an away goal. We Chelsea could possibly turn it around but we hardly scored a legit goal by our own making against Napoli at their own turf. It's hard to see where these two goals will come from at the Bridge in 2nd leg. Napoli's defense is shaky but our defense shipped in 3 goals and Lavezzi's 2nd goal was an abysmal Chelsea defensive mistake by our standards. Don't no why Malouda was shaking his head about coming off when he was subbed he didn't do anything all that time he was on.

Complete bs. TV rights are irrelevent. The premier league is a marketting juggernaut. It is also more entertaining. Hence why it sells for more money. I dont see how tv money relates to quality.

And yes the premier league has been the dominant league. In fact it still is quality. Things just went bad this year for those sides. Europe is very competitive at the moment with top sides in the major leagues.

And whiteside seems to think milan are average despite probably seeing them for the first time this season vs arsenal. Pretty shocking that I dont respect his opinion when its obvious he doesnt watch the football. My nan has probably seen as many milan games as him in the last 5 years.

Given that I saw them in the flesh give up a 2 goal lead in the last minute against the champions of the distinctly ****e Czech league you need to grab your teddy and go sit in the corner.

    Spot on mate <ok>

This is how it is. We have the same number of clubs we had 10-20-30 years ago. But the number of players has increased dramatically, hence making the selection options better for "lesser" perceived teams much greater and narrowing the gap in quality the same time. Don't get me wrong, the best sides are still better, but you can't "walk" games like you could some years ago.
What do get for £50 mill these days? Torres? Carroll+Downing? Not to hard to see why the gap is closing.

So you decided to watch "distinctly ****e czech league side" vs a "average" milan side? Interesting. I suspect what you did was go to latest results and jumped on the first one which looked suspect and then pretending you watched the game. All to make you seem like your not a clown. Wow you suck.
