Just because we have signed Tomasz Kuszczak some fans think it is an excuse to abuse Loach and say how bad he is. Wow, he's human and makes mistakes, just like we all do. Scott Loach used to live at one of my friends house and is still in contact with him, and he says that Scott wants to leave Watford because of all the abuse he gets. Is that what Watford Fans are really like? They abuse people till it drives them away. That is a form of Bullying. Tomasz Kuszczak was bought in to give Scott Loach some Competition, because Loach's form has dipped since Richard Lee left, because of no competion. So say nice things about him, as negative things isn't gonna make him improve, is it.The people on this forum are nicer than the ones on WO or twitter though.

No one is abusing him, as such. I just think everyone is disappointed how he hasn't progressed, and frustrated that he does make a number of mistakes. Unfortunately for Scott, he is in the unenviable position that most mistakes generally lead to a goal

Who knows why he hasn't progressed as much as we think he should have, but competition for his place (real competition) might push him to take that step to the next level that most of us think and hope he can!

Not sure anyone wants him to leave (not on this forum, anyway), we just want him to become what we think he can be, and for the Hornets <ok>

I agree that Loach needs our support, I would never boo or make sarcastic chants. It does no good...and it's an embarrassment.

But generally, when he's not hearing...I'm obviously going to be disappointed with his performances this season. It's not just him obviously, but no one is bigger than the club...and it's more appropriate to think about how the player's performances are affecting the club, rather than how we need to spoil our players with affection.

I would never ever abuse a player. Yes i will give them some banter, but they are professionals and can cope with that. In fact i have even seen them dish it back!! But there is a line between shouting at someone and saying they are "****" and "couldn't catch a cold" and shouting "Wheyyyy" or jearing when someone misses an easy shot. I for one did the latter when Eustace was warming up and missed the goal from inside the 16yrd box and I ended up catching the ball. It was funny and he was laughing too. But i would not then tell him to "**** off" and that he was a poor player.

I have always made that when ever i see Scott i shout something positive, and the Leicester game was no exception. I stood behind the goal and shouted "Come on Scott" and "good luck!". He then turned an gave me a thumbs up, only to have a rather large, possibly drunk man hurl abuse at him.

Whilst i admit that i was bemused and disappointed that he has made a couple of errors this year, but i understand that he is only human. And i also think that the own goal was not solely his fault. Mapps is experienced enough to know not to put the bass between the posts.

I know you guys don't abuse him but people on WO and at the game always swear at him and offer to drive him to a club that wants to buy him.

The Watford Observer is a magnet for some very nasty people. I do not think any player helps himself by having twitter and facebook because they become bullied by the idiots, school children can be bad enough but I can not imagine what a public figure has sent to them.

I get frustrated by SLs performances, he does need to be more commanding and he needs some luck as well.

He was reallly good in his first season because he had 2 other keepers pressurising him for a spot in the team.

He still is potentially very good - and a viable competitor for his place should help not harm him - I owuld like to see him still here next year and firmly established as our number one keeper

Too true, hopefully this short term loan signing will do him good, a break can refresh people and competition, if managed correctly will do him no harm.

NOW as for the abuse, everyone who doesn't try their best for the club should get some ! Mr Loach is definately not the case.

ABUSE is good for no one. Thinking of some fine examples of this.....remember a certain Mr Jason Lee.....

Well I'm sure his a good bloke and all that, but as I've said in the other posts about Loach, he's been very poor over the last 18 Months or so. Watford and the Management have kept faith with him for a long time, but unfortunitely he has just not been good enough for Championship football, as been proven this season, and as suppoters we've all realised that reality, that he's not good enough, so all our frustrations boil over, as pretty much, anything that's on target goes in! Basically he's been kept between the sticks far to long, so I'm very happy for the new GK to come in. If Loach wants to leave, I personally think it's a good idea. The supporters have lost faith and a new club might envigorate him, and bring back his confidence in a new environment.

Whilst the think the abuse he gets is not acceptable and although I am not his greatest fan, I do not boo or shout abuse at him at games - but he does himself no favours by being almost continuously on Twatter. He should stay off there if the abuse upsets him...it's just asking for the WUM's and Trolls to have a go.

I think goal keeping coach Alex Chamberlain must shoulder some of the blame for Scott's fall out of favour not just for Watford but for the England under 21 squad too. It's a genuine shame that a goalie that had so much potential 2 yrs ago is dropped from everything, perhaps Alex should resign for breaking our keeper!

Scott Loach came off Twitter a couple of weeks ago. He got fed up of the abuse, and who can blame him. Meanwhile, i feel desperately sorry for him, and your right in what you say Lloydinio. I'm sorry if he's wanting to leave the club, that's a real shame. I do think this loan signing will be good for everyone..for Scott, for the club, and obviously for the loanee. Win win..and hopefully we will..if only we could get a bloody striker!

My understanding is that he's still on Twitter, but actively monitors and controls his contact list.

What a minority of adverts for birth control have done is make it harder for distant praise and constructive criticism to get through to him. And that's a crying shame, because I'm sure we all agree that Loach (indeed any young player) can do with as much well-meaning advice as he can get.

He actually retired from under 21 football because he was annoyed at not being picked for the European U21 championships last year, and also wanted to increase his chances of the england senior team.

well yes, strictly speaking that's true. He closed his public account and started a new one, which is private except to family and friends. :)

Ah, so it really is literally people he knows? I had heard (third hand I admit) that he would accept requests from fans that he knows though previous twitter experience to be civil people.
