    Atletico Madrid are being reported to be on the verge signing Arda Turan for a meager €12m. :embarrassed::emoticon-0107-sweat
    Somebody needs to tell Pardew about him,that guy is world class and at less than 12m,thats a steal!! :mad:

    Btw we're again linked with Jason Puncheon.Seems like a good lad but really?He joined Blackpool on 31 January and since has played only 3 games.
    He seems decent but not what we're in need of.He failed to secure a place at Southampton and Plymouth,what is Pardew thinking?

    On his wiki it says we bid £9 million for him a couple of years back but it was rejected. Good luck to him.

    His monitoring a **** load of players so I dont see why not. Arda would probably choose Athletico over us though.

    Atletico Madrid are currently 8th in the league.:)

    Really good player and I recall chatting with a mate in Brussels years back who is a Fenerbache supporter (and Turkey fanatic) who said he was mesmerising and reads the game better than most players of his age.

    I'm hoping the Puncheon thing is a smoke screen.

    You never know though.

    EDIT: Also struggling to find a decent Luncheon pun. Got a few, but they just don't cut it. Just need a slice of inspiration but cannot think of anything! Should be bread and butter with this stuff, tbh though I don't give a tomtit!

    Just had a flashback to Summer 08' seeing his name again. I remember the buzz around "The Other Place" and how Turan and Arshavin were coming to the Toon straight after the Euros! Oh how I love optimistic transfer speculation

    Would love him to come here but I dont see it happening. We have the money but you get the feeling a player of his quality might well go to a CL team.
