<facepalm>... Ranger CAN finish mate, he just hasn't done it in the premier league yet. As i said, it's not a lack of ability, it's a lack of confidence.

 

Case closed , he shouldn't be 70 for finishing

Yes, but Tash, I can finish well at 5 a side with my mates. that doesn't make me a 75 striker on FIFA...I get what you are saying and all your points about his pace and strength are completely right. He does amazingly well to get into those situations, he does change games...

BUT

If he isn't finishing those chances, then he isn't finishing well! Even if the problem is mental/confidence, it's still a problem - what if Berbatov's Missus went into hospital (random hypothetic situation, but bare with me) he would be distracted, he may miss a load of chances and people would say "Berbatov's finishing was off today" ... Ranger has consistently missed chances, so on this basis his finishing is not his strong point AT THE MINUTE!

If/when it changes, then changing it on FIFA will make perfect sense, until then though, I can't see that it does!

He's a 75 because of the rest of his attributes and quite rightly so. Just because his finishing isn't the best, doesn't mean his overall score will go down mate.

Cheik Tiote and jonas Gutierrez don't often score goals or get assists, but they have an effect on the game non the less, and it's the same with Nile.
Again, i say he's done everything right except score, and in my opinion, hasn't had enough time to justify people saying he's a **** finisher.

We can agree to disagree, and i'll agree to say that he's unproven in his finishing at PL level, simply because of his lack of confidence, but he has got the ability, no doubt about that.

And besides, this is Fifa 11, people may say i'm over rating him, but is it as bad as fifa rating Rooney a 90 for strength???

 

Fair enough. I think I misquoted you in saying his finishing was 75 (not his overall) though I still think this is a little high, maybe drop him down a bit of his mental abilities or defending?

His marking is a little high maybe, but what's wrong with his mental abilities? He's aggressive, gets in good positions, and (apart from his finishing) he's consistant isn't he? Doesn't he always make an impact when he comes on?
And it doesn't matter to be quite honest, i can score with league two players with 50 rated finishing.
