Good news or not? You decide. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/w...scussion-with-swansea-council-91466-30368776/
Good news, we need the expansion. BUT, it all depends on whether or not we stay up. It's looking that way but let's not take anything for granted until we hit 40 points. That observation was intended more for the team than my fellow posters.
'BUT, it all depends on whether or not we stay up' but thats planning for the future on a year by year basis surely you need to think longer term, you either need extra capacity or you dont, you could get relegated next season (or not), parachute payments are £48m over 4 years, anyway, how would a stadium expansion work when the stadium is owned by the council?
why not stick a retractable automated roof on while were at it for sports and concerts etc. then again forget it all until the academy is sorted eh !
Buy a ticket then you tight bugger !!! Away games are best especially when you go to ****holes like Barnsley and Wigwam, no plastics !
Yep - it's £20 for Wigan away and £20 on the bus. They should go on general sale so there is no excuse!
It just makes me sick articles like this. A blatant disregard to the feelings of your average Jack. Political pointscoring helping disguise the real issue here. Think about those poor students who will now have to walk a little further to their part time jobs. What will Cardiff fans have to chirp about when we are getting larger gates, when we have a much smaller population. No bleedin way - I want a new McDonalds. The whole things wrong.
to be fair it would be like cardiff getting promoted this year then next year me complaining there are no tickets available for PL games if i didnt have a season ticket (which i do ), loyal support is rewarded by the guarantee of PL tickets...
I know man but I work shifts which include every other Saturday! No doubt there's been a few away games I could've managed and didn't which is pretty slack, but I just don't have the money to do it that regularly. I need a ST really, and I firmly intend to chase one down.
Well I can't claim to have had any season ticket's recently, and I've never once said I deserved a ticket as I'm very aware others "deserve them" more than me. However I did have a number of season tickets when I was younger and the club didn't have a pot to piss in, and it can't do anything but rankle that I've only been able to see one home game this year, and I'll be lucky to see another one.
Scott, I am in the same situation you are in. So, I decided to go to away games in the hope that I stood more chance of getting tickets. The furthest away grounds have seemed to be the easiest to get through Swansea. Managed to get Everton tickets through my daughter, but they were in the home end!!! The home crowd really got stuck into their own players, talk about racism, can understand why Saha moved!!! Needless to say I would never do it again, rather be in the Swansea end anyday. So its back to trying to get tickets for away games and getting cheap bus/train tickets. You could try staying in youth hostels, but not many long away games left now. By the way, you have seen more home games than me, but I have done 8 away.
Fair play man, respect. Like I say, I don't begrudge anyone who genuinely has been following the Swans for years, and if other people got all the season tickets good effort, I've no ill-will against them, but I'm always going to be gutted I wasn't in the country when ST's were released. I should've flown back, thinking about it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, eh...
if you are not a current season ticket holder or a member of the jack army how can any new person get a season ticket? just been on the club website - seems impossible.
Luck and patience, pretty much. If any make it to general release I'm perfectly happy to take a week off work and start camping!
