I meant that by going into admin subsequently Markus Liebherr bought our club and it's been going in one direction,up. Didn't make myself clear enough.
Not to mention our years in the old top league (then known as League1) before the change to PL...27 years in all. But that's the past (proud as we are), looking forward to a bright future.
I agree with much of what has been posted. the lows are outweighed by the highs, but the lows didn't need to be so devastatingly low. If Rupert Lowe had backed Strachan, or had sold to a Markus Liebherr owner back then, we could have consolidated and pushed on from there. As it was Lowe was too arrogant to beleive anyone could run a football club better than he could and the writing was on the wall. However, it has turned out positively with a great owner, a great chaitman, a great manager, a great playing squad, great support staff, great facilities, great youth/academy set up, and........... the geatest fans on the south coast.
Enjoy the ride boys, we did back-to-back promotions and with 35 points already we are virtually guaranteed Premier League football next season. Just a pity you lot just might emulate our acheivement !
