No we should pull out all the stop's to sign Balotelli and keep Suarez then we will have a proper strike force with Mad Mario and Loopy Luis <ok>

Apparently Eden Hazard said on a French news show that he's in talks/signing for Spurs.

all because they reached 3rd for the first time in 20 years and will have a small stint in the CL groups. And yes that is bitterness cus I will be very bitter and gutted if they get Hazard just because of CL

  5. I have conceded that Suarez will, in all likeliness, be leaving in the summer. If the club don't force him out he will want to leave after being forced (rightly) to apologise.

I am not sure how I feel about him leaving either though. On one hand he is an excellent player, creates opportunities and scares the pants off the opposition with his unpredictable approach. On the other our record is better when he is not in the team, his finishing is poor and he has managed to already drag the clubs name through the mud a few times in just one year! IMO, if we were tog et £30m for him I would be happy. My big concern would be who is spending that money considering we signed Carroll and Downing for well over the odds and they are both struggling, Adam too but without the massive price tag. (I think Henderson will prove a good purchase given time)

I don't believe that - really I don't. Kenny has a history of getting it right at the back - look at the other sides he managed - Blackburn, Barcodes - he sets about sorting out the foundations and adds the magic later. With the barcodes, he was dumped before being allowed to complete the job, but at Blackburn that was the way he set things up.

We're now set up solidly and have a decent squad of performers who are improving. Next (in the summer) we add the magic. If we don't have Suarez, it'll be too bad, but Shanks knew no player was bigger than the club. He sold his established players and brought in a new generation, and the rest made history...

  7. Of course he was also at Newcastle at a time when they had been used to free-flowing exciting football under kevin Keegan too. Always hard to follow someone that is so gung-ho in their approach...

In the end he got newcastle as far as any of thier "heros" keegan and robson... dalglish got to a cup final.

we've a decent side but there s a lot of magic to be added if thats what we are saying for next summer. I don't buy either that he's buying badly nor do i buy that he's going to trun up miracles.

  9. He managed a second place finish in his first season too (having taken over in January when they were fourth)

Isla rumoured to be heading to us or to the scum.

Reckon he'd be a great signing. Versatile, flair, bit of pace about him. Great player to have about and would continue the South American feel to our team (would fit with other Portuguese/Spanish speakers).

  11. I'm just hoping Kenny and Comolli decide to sack this 'buy British' policy off

they signed suarez... i just think they need to be in europe to attract a good enough foreign player.

look if we'd signed ba and he got injured like he's a BIG risk to have happen we'd all be saying how stupid... newcastle have got lucky so far, but he's going to break down at some point.

Newcastle have a decent outfit and credit to them like credit to villa once a upon a time.. they'll fall short just like Everton too...

on the other hand WE are spending what we can when we can on who we can so if players like downing who was clearly upping his game to get a cup final slot today then get us up the table then we can buy better players and keep building.... at least WE have ambition to win things.

ambition gets rewards.... look at the spuds today, no real ambition and the league is more important.. the chucked the europa... 4th is all they care about... in the end it'll fail.

Haha, my roomate has me in tune with most of the lingo, although with the brummies it sounds like they have a cold or peanut butter on the roof of their mouth <laugh>

Also have my Scottish mate visiting for a bit so the banter is in full fore. Glasweigan(sp?) so he has the KK twang about him.<ok>

Well, the Brummoys and Weegies are hard enough for us to understand. For a small place we have a ridiculously wide range of accents.

  20. Although from a English club, we also got Enrique in. I am not saying we should buy only foreign players, I am saying we should not limit ourselves to British players only. Downing and Adam are not good enough, Henderson is young and will learn but was never going to have an immediately impact on the first team and Carroll is obviously taking his time too. Thats over £80m on four British players, all good squad players but none of which are currently up to Liverpool standard IMO.
