Sky have just said you have signed him on loan for the rest of the season

Scott Loach has been awful everytime i have seen him so this should be a very good signing for you

He would bag you a shed load of points in scrabble!!
If it is correct then it is a good move in my opinion, he is a very good keeper, just fell out with Sir Alex.
He will give SL a run for his money and could be just what he needs to lift his game.

Maybe Dyche has lost faith in Loach and feels we need a more experience goalie to bring more confidence to the defence.

I'm completely shocked at this for Loach but happy to be getting such an experienced keeper - one that wants to make an impression even though he is not match sharp we should now have competition between the sticks and someone that Loach can train with and see where he needs to improve.

    On BBC too;

A good signing, I think we could do with an older head in the squad, and someone who is trying to prove a point to his manager! Bit harsh on Scotty but he probably has been to blame for too many goals.... But has plenty of years ahead of him!

    Derek Payne will be ecstatic.

I think in this particular situation being a relatively big name was as important as the player's ability. Dropping Scott for someone with as many medals as Kuszczak helps mitigate any damage to his confidence, and makes it all the more of an achievement if Dyche decides to pick Scott on merit.

I too feel a bit sorry for SL but the thing is that he has had not had to be looking over his shoulder at someone who can take his place. But his problem is that he does not command his box. A couple of years ago I heard that this was because we used zonal marking at corners. But I would much prefer a keeper who can come out and catch the ball and give the defence confidence that he can command the area. The signing also says things about our continued relationship with Man U.

Interesting signing, but I would prefer a striker or 2...

A little ironic a Leicester fan commenting on how awful Loach has been after last week - 1 goal less awful than their keeper!!

Good Signing, Loach can learn so much. He needed to be taken out of the firing line. It got to the point where every goal we let in he was being blamed for. With Nos, Mapps and Kuszczak we should be ok at the back. Now maybe Dyche can pull another surprise out of the bag at the other end of the pitch.

Surprised better teams werent in for him? But maybe we promised him he would be first choice. I would also assume Man U are paying most of his wages.

Kasper is quality and the best keeper in this league. He will win our player of the season hands down, The defence was to blame for the 1st goal and the 2nd took a massive deflection and the 3rd was a decent striker right in the corner.

Everytime i watch the football league show and Watford come on Scott Loach has made a massive cock up

i feel hugely sorry for SL. This will knock his confidence even further, but if he can see past that, and take advantage of learning from someone who is obviously a talented keeper, it will do WFC and SL a big favour in the long run. It's a good signing..i wonder how much longer he has on his contract, though i doubt we can afford his permanent wages.

Good to see SAF is still willing to loan to us though :)

Proud Fox, SL gets a very bad press. He had one bad season last season, and nobody is letting him forget it. Each time he goes on the pitch, he knows there are Watford fans baying for his blood. It's a sickening situation for a 23 year old keeper who has obvious talent but is being knocked by his own 'fans' at every opportunity. Makes my blood boil!

What a great signing....32 games to late though. Time for Scott Loach to step aside, been painful watching so many of his mistakes costing Watford! Cost us quite afew points this season. Defence has no confidence anymore in him, every shot on target seems to go in!!! Hopefully the break will help him recharge his batteries and become a stronger player.

I actually think it will do his confidence some good as the pressure won't be on him, he'll have a chance to learn from a prem keeper and he has something to fight for.

Don't actually agree with you Hornette. Scott been poor over possibly almost 2 seasons. He's not improved at all. 150+ games under his belt and is well experienced now, but still will not come of his line, does not command the area, and does nothing special, to save a game. His had a very good chance with Watford and the Management have kept faith for a long time, but he's a very nice chap, but unfortunitely not Championship quality. IMO of course.

Loach needs a rest. He is playing week in, week out and needs a rest. Dyche did this before didnt he and Loach got the message and had a cracker the next game i believe. Hopefully Tomasz will come in and give Scott a kick up the arse and give him some confidence to command the box.

I think a lot of people give him a hard time for no reason. Yes he has made a couple of blunders. But one of them was not entirely his fault. Mapps should know not to pass the ball backwards between the post. However, Loach should maybe check his position and control it before going to launch it. But he is a young keeper and he has kept us in games too. He made 2 very good saves against Leicester at 2-2.

We will have to agree to disagree lol...i think he does come off his line more, he does control his area better, he shouts to the defence and let's them know when he's coming for balls. Yes, he still makes mistakes, he's certainly no perfect, but i see him as improving...but yes, competition will hopefully do him good, it will go one way or the other i suppose...it'll be a good test of his character.

Hornette, I understand and respect what you're saying: you don't think Scott should be dropped. You're definitely right to say that he doesn't deserve a lot of the criticism.

But if Dyche has decided that now is the time to take him out of the loop for a while, this is surely the least worst way of doing it. Imagine how much worse a blow it would be to Scott's confidence if he were replaced by a teenager with minimal professional experience.
