Got to be Skrtel for me as well. Last season I was worried that he was going to make a mistake every time he got on the ball but this season he has been solid. Carroll has also started to find his form and just needs to continue it further <ok>

No doubt Skrtel has been most improved this year although I think that is partly down to the fact we've had a consistant back 4.

I've also been very impressed with Spearing though. He looks like a total nightmare to play against as he just keeps running and nibbling away at players who have the ball. He's probably only just behind Lucas in terms of tackling ability and it's just his distribution and positioning he needs to work on to really kick on.

    Easily Skrtel.

Been excellent since the Spurs game. Johnson's got better too.

deffo skrtel but i think that's mainly down to steve clarke's influence over the defence as a whole

Skrtel, Johnson, Spearing, and I'm also going to say Henderson have all improved well over the course of this season.

Skrtel for me. Last season he was a liability no doubt about it, and i was fairly sure that if he carried on like he did then he wouldn't have a future at the club.

This season he has come on immeasurably. Not only is his defensive toughness back, but he's also started to bring the ball out of defense in an almost Agger-esque fashion. He is a completely different player, it's crazy.

Got to be big Andy. He is starting to reproduce the form he showed for Newcastle. In the game against Brighton, he was excellent and deservedely won MOTM. His goal was very nice, he created a goal for Suarez with his aerial presence and his work rate was first class. I think he had 34 touches and his pass completion was 93%, kept things simple and stood up to the dirty tactics of the Brighton defence.

Have seen lots of haters for 'Mandy' but have been saying for months 'give him time' - he looks settled now. am sure we will se a lot more consistency from the big man and a continued gradual improvement.

Should be Englands number nine for the next century.

Carroll has undoubtedley improved over the last 5 or 6 games. Skrtel has been a revelation for the bulk of the season. I hope Carroll continues his rise indefinitely <ok>

If he continues his improvement, Big Andy might be in line for the Most Improved Player of the Season. But lets worry about that thread in May?

Well I wouldn't say 'rise indefinately' - or he will continue to head them all over the bar <laugh>
