PSH - When I listened to the story about the crash on the radio this morning, I was thinking to myself who was helping with those sorts of arrangements and I sort of assumed that the Embassy staff must get involved...good to see us Brits can get it together when it counts. Respect to all involved...
Morning all. Thanks for the tea AK, it was needed this morning. Its 3[SUP]o[/SUP]C here today, and only likely to reach 5[SUP]o[/SUP] as a maximum. Its good to know they are in safe hands Al. It cant be a nice time for them. Lets hope they all get home safe and recover quickly.
When I hear of an incident in France involving British schoolchildren, my mind goes back to when I was at school and a coachload of children from St Albans died in an accident - one of them was our deputy head's son. As has been said, hope all injured parties recover quickly. I'll be about more than I was last week now I'm back in sunny Jersey - especially as I've got my new "toy", a new laptop. Last week was so frustrating as my Mum's PC was so slow. Speaking to her last night once I got home, it sounds like it's ground to a complete halt.
Today is turning bad it is now -1.5C and really cloudy dark. I found about the coach crash and am sad as the people were so young. I think they were lucky there were not more people hurt badly or killed.
afternoon all...i'm beginning to really hate Mondays...i have to work far too hard! lol. Thanks for the caramel latte Ak, much needed! So sad about that school trip, good to hear we did well getting the kids back...
Evening all - been a quiet day in The Nest. It's our little boy's birthday tomorrow and it's Shrove Tuesday - so Pancakes for tea!
yum! Master Hornette's friend has her birthday tomorrow...her 18th...i very much doubt she'll be having pancakes.
nice to see Adam Thompson coming on as a sub for Brentford...though it seems a shame he's not getting 90 minutes...
well damn, i was all ready for a nice relaxing second half of what was left of my evening...and that got blown out by unfinished homework that only mum could sort out..and in the end, even mum failed..but i've now missed my Tesco delivery slot, and my evening...not a happy mum! lol
it was some video recordings she'd made for citizenship, they were on a dvd..and she needed to copy selected files to the pc and the decrypter wasn't working properly...she'll have to take the disc to school now, i just couldn't figure it out in the end...i hate failing!
Ahhh, computer probs. The bane of homework for generations!! You have not failed. If it wont work then it wont work. Nothing short of threatening it with being thrown out the window works in this house. But you had a good (albeit busy) day though?
yes thanks hon..a good day, but Mondays are too crazy, i don't get to sit down til late (unless there's stressy homework and then it's even later lol) how was your day?
no, not ideal at all, but that's the nature of my job..sometimes it's crazy, and sometimes it's quiet...there's never a balance lol i don't know how you do it!
Yeah, its the nature of the beast. But just think of the money!! £££££££££ I only do it cos im young and i wont be able to in 20/30 years time. I might as well make the most of it.
lol everyone says think of the money...but i'd rather think about living lol that's true..you young thing ...
that's true...this season i've got to more than usual, which is rather delish! I'm going to go to Derby, i've decided
