To be honest , having seen us linked with players like Lambert , Puncheon and Pratley makes me think.

Are we really going to get to spend the 35m on players in the summer? I don't think so.

    Smoke and mirrors i think.

It is widely documented that he and his staff are swanning around the continent looking at imports. Why would they do this if they were just going to buy jason Puncheon instead of someone like, say, Jeremain Lens????

    Smoke and mirrors.

Good player. I don't know why we didn't go for him in January, Lallana as well. They have a great academy down at Southampton, Ranger was from down there as well so he could know them.

It seems a lot of people want to go back to the dark days of expensive trophy signings. A lot of people have suggested spending over £10m on overrated ****e like Bendtner, but would be disappointed with someone like Puncheon. Madness.

This perfectly sums up my view. I wouldn't mind Puncheon as cover/competition for the likes of Guti/Barton/Ben Arfa. Plus I bet he's on relatively low wages and the transfer fee isn't that bad.

This. Puncheon is a good player and has already proven he can cut it in the prem. At £500k and reasonable wages this is the sort of player we should be looking at for backup.

500k is good for him but really I think he is a champship player so I think he should just go back to soton and stay there, because he would be a good player for them

Don't get me wrong i don't think he is brilliant and I wouldn't ever see him setting the prem alight, but he would be ok as backup and is a good price. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over whether we sign him or not but as AG said we should not be disappointed with being linked with players like him. Our squad needs building up and we need backup players as well as first teamers.

Routledge will probably be away in the summer as we cannot promise him first team football so as a cheap replacement I see no harm in signing Puncheon. <ok>

Puncheon is a good player, who has done well for Blackpool since going there (looked good against Chelsea), though not sure whether he will do it over a season, or will be a long term solution.
