How about a gift from the not606 fans to Niall Quinn

I'm sure that we have all experienced a wide range of emotions at the news that Niall Quinn has left Sunderland FC. In the posts here this morning we have all expressed our thanks to him and some have made great suggestions such as name a stand after him by way of a thank you. I'm sure that the club directors will consider that but how about we, the fans from not606, get together and purchase a gift for him. I hope that Syd will agree to this and if so I'd be more than happy to help in any way I can. If you think this is worth doing please post your thoughts and ideas for a gift here.

I'll start with an idea that I had, Niall loves his racehorses so how about a framed picture of a horse.

 

Good Idea but honestly reckon Niall would prefer a donation in his name to a charity he loves (Something to do with racing a good shout though), he always talks about how rewarded and lucky he is etc.

 

Good idea but I agree with prisonbroken about a donation to charity rather than an actual gift. Maybe to SAFC Foundation?

WOW!!!...I've just got out of bed following a nighshift and get hit with this news on Quinny....I'll go with the flow on this one, but think a charitable donation to a charity that Quinn himself supports (I'm sure we could find out that somehow) seems a top idea...

 

Donation to charity for me maybe one of the mods could make this a sticky.

 

I will go onlong with the majority but will contact the club now to see what charities, think it could well be the foundation. The more ideas the better

 

Love the idea of a charity donation in the big mans honour, but i'd also love us to give him something personal, that he'd hopefully treasure.

Do we have anyone talented that could maybe design us a one off tie or badge, summat simple and keepsake like that, that could be presented to Quinny as a unique object?

This man has enriched all of our lives over time.
