Alot of people are saying this brawl was a bad thing for boxing, but in all honesty it's probably made the heavyweight division a whole lot more interesting. If you ask me is good PR
haha id have to agree there! all over twitter people were saying it's a disgrace etc but im loving it!
there is no such thing as bad publicity. I really can't see all the fuss tbh, Aren't they supposed to be fighters? reminds me of 2 other british loser heavyweights in the 80's who had to keep fighting outside of the ring to gain any publicity, can't remember their names now, as I doubt I'll remember these 2 in 5 years either.
Disagree. Already talk of possible criminal charges and some calling for Chisora to be banned for life from Boxing.
End of the day if Haye and Chisora do meet in the ring, then there fight is going to recieve more media attention, and get more viewers, as a result of there little scrap
But why bin the title? If Price didn't want it, then it looks bad for him, if they can agree on purse split, then there is a purse bid, where the BBBoC will decide the purse splits
It will be a huge British fight, and a pretty big fight all over the world, but the stuffy BBBofC will try to stop this fight from happening in the immediate future.
Who is going to ban Chisora? The BBBofC plenty of other commissions in the world that will gladly take him. Chisora does seem very mentally unstable though. Boxing on the front pages of papers, it has certainly raised it's profile and the amount of non-fans that are talking to me about boxing is significantly more after the weekend's events.
This brawl is exactly what the heavyweight division needed, some people need to stop being ****ing tarts and get a grip instead of crying and moaning about it " damaging the reputation ". Ali has said worse things and Tyson and Lewis had a brawl at the weigh in before one of their fights with each other. Steven gerrard also had a brawl but no-one called for him to be banned from football. Chisora should not be banned from boxing for the brawl but for his other antics, he performed outstanding in the ring and the slapping was quite funny but the spitting was absoulete vile and disgusting and he has serious issues. Fair play to Haye for sticking his ground aswell, If someone walked over to you looking all hyped up and taking his jacket off then you're going to think he wants a fight and haye just got in there before Chisora did.
Some say Haye redeemed himself for that Wlad showing, landed two peach punches on Chisora, right on the money and then took on the rest of his crew and his own manager with a tripod. I wouldn't go that far but I can't blame Haye for what went on. Wladamir told Haye before the post fight presser, that Chisora was going to bitch-slap him.
Both of them are a disgrace to boxing imo. Chisora will get the brunt of the punishment though because Haye has not even got a liscence. I hope Chisora get's banned for life he is a vile chav, spitting, saying he is going to shoot people, what a mug.
I don't blame Haye at all for it, fair enough he shouldn't have been there but he was obviously trying to bait Vitali into a fight. I blame most of it on Chisora but also blame Warren aswell, Chisora should never have got up out of his seat and Warren should have told him to sit down but Warren was obviously thinking and licking his lips that if they squared up to each other it would generate a lot of interest and they could have Haye v Chisora but i don't believe he thought it would turn into a brawl. Haye shouldn't have done what he did but i don't blame him because Chisora got out his seat, walked over to him with his people, took off his jacket and walked up to him with the body language suggesting he wanted a fight, Haye just got in there before Chisora went for him. Hayes said some vile things in the past but Chisoras done some vile things, in addition to this whole entourage and the Vitali/Wladimir stuff his also Bitten someone before a fight, Full-on Kissed another opponent at a weigh in and he beat up his ex-girlfriend. It's a shame his a scumbag because he actually put up a very good show vs Vitali imo and if it wern't for his vile out of ring actions he could have had a match vs Wladimir and other decent fights. He let himself down big time and i wouldn't be surprised if he gets banned because he was lucky to get light punishments for previous offences but then his done 3 seperate acts this time - Slapping a opponent, Spitting water in a opponents brothers face and starting a Brawl.
And rubadubs just made me remember his disgusting comments aswell forgot about them, add to that he threatened to " shoot and burn" haye aswell. Truly pathetic and vile
Fury talked about killing Chisora, was there calls for him to be banned for life. It happens, Tyson wanted to eat Lennox's children. Larry Holmes ran off a car to drop kick Berbick. Hopkins makes the cut throat sign in every fight, and burns the flags of his oponents. Bowe and his thug crew have started full scale riots. Don't let the media fool you into thinking this is an extraordinary event in boxing. Many brawls were stopped because there was security keeping boxers apart.
Should Holmes been banned for life after this?
Yes. They can. And Hennessy isn't prepared to let that happen. I don't think Fury is bottling it from Price and vice versa. A deal can't be reached and neither man wants to compromise on that. That is fair enough imo.
Price would absolutely obliterate Tyson Fury. When he fights he leaves himself so wide open it's ridiculous. He'll never be able to mix it at world level with such a pathetic defence. He desperately needs someone to work day and night with him on improving his defence.
