<peacedove>Liverpool have to get pass Stoke first and Everton have to get pass Sunderland too:if the two are not
paired to gether in the semi-final, there is a good chance (if they can both see off their respective opponents) of meeting
    in the final.
That is going to be a good final.!

The thought of us and them in the final crossed my mind as well. For bragging rights I'd prefer us to get to the final against someone else but at this point I'd take us in the final against anyone <ok>

I would dearly love some ray of breif sunshine to shine on goodison seeing its so far in our shadow but it does seem cruel to give them hope then dash them cruely...

I'll settle for stevenage in the final meself <ok>

Nice call MITO, but no bullet points..........................

Have the bitters got Sunderland at home or away? If they're away, I can't see any chance of them progressing.

    Sorry about that RHC.

    1. the point only required a single line.. hard to bullet point a single line

    2. everton are at home, where they've trashed a few teams so i think they are in with a shout... i was shocked at the lack of crowd at stadium of light so do sundelrand really want it?

    3. If you go by form this year LFC, chelsea, spurs and evrton should in thoery be able to get through based on eithe rbeating their oppoenets at home, this year or being the big club at home, or just being at home (everton)... The semi final draws and venues will be vital...

    4. the venue for the semi is wembley... now we get a sighter this weekend <laugh> BUt we all know the spuds can't play north of watford so this will help them.. I'd actually rather play everton in the semi to be honest.

    5. Who do you guys think the biggest chance of a shock is? (not stoke cos they are good enough) Could brum take chelsea, or leicest? Could bolton catch spurs napping?

I'd like to say Stevenage, but I really can't see it. Bolton wouldn't have a chance against the spuds, so probably the brummies.

yes, i do think just maybe the burm had thier best chance BUT... chelsea are just rokcing right now, if you add in the CL to this i think they'll be hard pressed to fit in a replay and something will give somewhere with their fitness. could be the league.... one can hope!

I don't want to play Everton at Wembley. We've done it twice and beaten them twice. Going for a 3rd is a bit like playing Chelsea 3 times in the CL Semis.

    I was there in '86

The cup that sparked an entire summer of partying.

I still refer to it as my "blackout" year

A carling fan eh? Never been a huge fan myself. Still better than Carlsburg though - like my beer a tad stronger than their skimpy 3.6% stuff!!
