Not sure why you're all so bothered tbh - a goal is a goal is a goal, most of the reports I've read indicate you completely dominated the second half, and you would've been clear winners even without any of the own goals.

"Ferguson Demands FA Inquest After Own-Goal Deluge at Anfield

In breaking news, Mr Alex Ferguson had demanded that the Football Association launch an immediate inquiry after the flood of own goals at Anfield in Liverpool's home FA Cup tie against Brighton yesterday. The visitors scored 3 own-goals, which is a record for the competition.

In his tirade following the match, Mr Ferguson screamed "It's fu.king ridiculous. 3 own goals in one game is just not possible. The officiating staff and the visitors must have been given a huge bung for this to happen. When own-goals was our top scorer last season, it was all about the constant massive pressure we apply to all teams we play against. When other teams, especially Liverpool, get an own goal. It's just luck. In this case, 3 is beyond luck - it stinks of corruption, and I should fu.king well know all about that".

In response, the FA have assured Mr Ferguson that they will leave no stone unturned in their search to discover whether there was any form of bribery at work. This reporter for one firmly believes that Mr Ferguson's outburst had nothing at all to do with the fact that Liverpool knocked united out of the competition in the last round.
