Generally agree. You know the theo walcott hype (as he is english) has had an effect on you when you say he will sell for 20m. I must admit I have previously said 15m which is obviously ridiculous. He is a terrible terrible player.

He seems to lack consistency - he's dangerous on form.

He's definitely flattered by his pace though.

.........there is one fly in the ointment in this, you have to end this season in at least 4th place or these new players will not be interested in joining you.

If you think that Walcotts present form warrants a transfer fee of 10 million then you can not of seen his performances this season. I think you would be fortunate to be offered half that figure. Now if he was performing half as good as Oxo then you might have an arguement.:emoticon-0150-hands

We really need a creatiive midfielder, a quality striker or 2 if RVP departs, cover for rightback and another left back. Im not sold on either Gibbs or Santos yet....If we get 4-5 players and sell the dross, then we are on our way to competing again.

On a side note, if Miyaichi has a good loan spell with Bolton, i would bring him back into the first team. With Miyaichi, Wilshere, Frimpong and possibily Joel Campbell back (verify this guys), then we have a good youthful crop of players.

I'll eat my own hand if Wenger buys Hazard AND Gotze. Simply down to the fact that Madrid/Barca/City appear to be after both and both are rated at over £30m.

Napoli's front 3. I watch a lot of serie A and they are fantastic. Sky not really hyping them too much on the tele tonight but they are well worth hype.

Why dont we put £100m bid in for all of them. Supposedly we have £130m in the bank. All young. All quality.

I agree, they are fantastic. Lavezzi caught my eye last season, was brilliant in a few games i saw, and everyone knows Edinson Cavani is one of the world's best strikers.

Selling our best players is certainly not going to be a way of gettting out of a mess.

    Anyone watchin Chelsea v Napoli?

Levezzi has been linked to us a few times - would be a quality signing!

Cavani would be a good signing also.

Why MON? Every year he has managed, he seems to spend more money than Wenger and finished below Arsenal. Why do you expect him to do better?

Lavezzi's agent said he'd been in talks with Liverpool prior to last season, but nothing ever happened.

If you can believe that. Very lively player though - but (contrary to last night) doesn't actually score often.

  17. Any particular reason for your post other than to incite another argument???

Guess it makes it clear where the problem of arguments on the board emanates from <ok>

I cant understand why wenger hasnt bought Samba, you have him and your defence is sorted, attacking wise id argue you's dont need much improvement...

Can we (safc) take that park though, has some pace!

    Take bendtner back though!

  19. Do you have evidence proving he has spent more money than Wenger?

He has managed Villa who are hardly in our league but he has managed them well and even against us too. The trouble is you see Arsene as being an untouchable but in recent years he has made us into a side that now cannot touch the likes of Utd, City or even Spurs of late. Certainly not a reduced Milan side that is hardly of the same quality as the one we beat nearly 4 years ago. Unless you have not noticed we haven't won anything nor looked like winning anything for 7 years now and the years we were close to taking the EPL, we bombed in the final run in to the title. Surely Wenger must look to his share of the responsibility for this. He built up the sides after all.

If you think we are any better now then have a look at these statistics and OPTA stats do not lie

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/126164-OPTA-Stats-this-year-and-2011

It is not so much a case of MON's teams not finishing above us before, it is more about now. And now, considering he only took over in the last few months, MON has galvanised his side into a better-looking team than when they began the season or ended last. I'm afraid I cannot say the same for Arsene. The above link proves it.

  20. Personal attacks are part of the man's makeup. Hardly the stuff of a mod. Mods are meant to manage the forum, look after it, not get caught up in a brawl or look to starting one. This one holds a different view it seems.
