I think a red velvet rim with a bright yellow corwn (with red piping) with CROWN (paints) written on it is in order... I think I'll have to make one for usre... Deffo going to wear it for the final.
Any chance of putting a few on Ebay Mito? I'd buy one because the description of the colour scheme sounds right up my street.
I know we've a long way to go and it's not ours to lose, but does anyone else feel that we really do have the opportunity here to get 4th this season? We've got games against Chelski and Arsenal and wining them would bring us to within a point of 4th. I know it's not easy and we still have to win our games but I can't help but think that if we're ever going to get 4th then this is the year. Chelsea and Arsenal are really out of shape and look likely to stumble again this season. Had they both been in form this year, Chelsea in particular, then with Spurs cemented in the top four already we would have stood no chance but despite our poor performances in the league this year, we're somehow in with a shout of top 4.
My fealing is that if we win on Sunday then we will have the momentum to secure 4th spot. We will then already have secured European football for next season and that will take a lot of pressure off us. Both Arsenal and Chelsea have the problems both on and off the pitch. Let them have to cope with the pressure whilst we allow ourselves to play our football. If we do that then 4th is imminently achievable.
The first time Gerrard, Carroll and Suarez start together ends with a result of a 6-1 hammering. I know it was Brighton, but the confidence, momentum and determination really will drive us on this weekend. Possibly selection dilemma heading our way on Sunday? I say field our strongest team possible. Reina Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique Bellamy - Gerrard - Adam - Downing Suarez - Carroll Bench: Doni, Carragher, Kelly, Spearing, Henderson, Maxi, Kuyt.
And just when you think things are getting back to normal. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...-in-letter-to-kenny-dalglish-100252-30367503/ Liverpool's black community have every right to air their view on this issue, but why wait until now. They could have made the request at the height of the story's impact.
If we say anything about this we'll be accused of not "letting it lie" all over again. You can guess what my answer would be.
It is not ours to lose but it is in our hands. Arsenal and Chelsea still have to play Utd, City and Spurs between them...they should both lose at least 2+ points in these games and if we beat both that puts us ahead of them. Our biggest problem is all the other games.
Do they really think this will HELP race relations in Liverpool? FFS...I've not exactly been impressed with our handling of the whole situation fair enough but are they now suggesting LFC is an inherently racist organisation because my experience of being a red is exactly the opposite of that and I guarantee every "member of the black community" I know in this city would refute that allegation 100%. Are they seriously suggesting dragging all this up again will bring Liverpools different communities closer together? Jesus H this will do nothing more than cause resentment and division between communities. What a mess.
The local black community spokeswoman said in an interview on Granada Reports(outside the kop)that Suarez not making a personal apology to Evra and LFC's backing of Suarez has heightened racial tension within her community(L8). My mate lives off Smithdown Road/Lodge Lane and i've been to his a few times since the 'apology' and the black and white community did'nt/dont seem any different than they were before the Suarez/Evra spat happened. They're are within their rights to put their point of view across but their timing is terrible.
Well I guess they know their communities better than I do so I am reluctant to say its bullshit but it certainly doesn't compute with my experiences. Everyone I know whether black, white, chinese, indian just seems bored of the whole thing. Plus I haven't met anyone in Liverpool (even the bitters) who genuinely think Suarez was anything other than a bit of a fruitcake and very naïve. The lads been castigated nationally and punished proffesionally for what IMO was a very stupid act. He made it worse with the handshake thing but I do wonder sometimes if these people are speaking for their communities or just trying to justify and publicise their own particular groups existence. Anyway on a cheerier note...we got a cup final at the weekend
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/feb/20/liverpool-luis-suarez-anti-racism seriously? wtf are the guardian bringing this ****e up again for? It's hardly relevent! God theyre such twats, they're now the lefty version of the mail TBH, such rag quality articles nowadays
Agreed Red. And since this twat got his managerial post last summer the media have lauded him. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...es-Swindon-Paolo-di-Canios-fascist-views.html A man thats proud to be facist and all the racist traits that go with it.
I'm not biting on this issue. All I will say is that the letter and the subsequent media coverage appears desperate. IF the issue had indeed been divisive within the L8 community then the time to voice those concerns has long passed. Therefore my opinion is that this lady and her associates achieve nothing other than self-promotion to no good effect.
Mate I've tried hard not biting on this issue for months and I've been largely succesful but its not easy eh You're spot on...I agree 100% so we'll leave it there Genuine predictions for the rest of the season fellas? Cup success a possibility and still a chance of top 4?
