I have been given no reason to think that the timing of the appointment has nothing to do with anything other than Leeds United, yet again, identified a bunch of viable options and decided to go with the cheapest and hope to get lucky. They didn't get lucky, so signed Warnock.
All guesswork though eh ? I have no idea whether Warnock was already lined up or whether we got him in by the skin of our teeth. All I know is we've got him and at this precise moment in time it's put a smile back on my face.
Afternoon all. Let's just take what we see at face value for once. Papa Smurf said last week that the Board had appointed Redders as a temporary measure until interviews took place for a permanent replacement. Those interviews or something akin to interviews took place last week. Fortunately, the Board made the right choice & we got easily the most qualified man for the job. Let's just see what happens over the next 4 to 6 weeks & look at where we are after mad March. If we're still in or around the top 6, we have every chance of ending up in the play offs. If, however, we perform badly against Saints & West Ham, Warnock will just have to get his finger out & get us up next season.
Marko, so much pessimism? You wouldn't be a Jock, would you? Comes naturally to us. Btw, I'm sure I read in one of the papers that Udders had offered Warnock more money than us, but he still chose us!
Nope, I'm Leeds born, bred and raised. I just don't have any faith in the board and until they stop with this ridiculous business model I won't believe they have anything good to offer the club. I am not going to get my hopes up only to be disappointed again, like I did last summer and so many times before.
Three of the teams ahead of us have two games in hand, it is far too late barring a miracle to even consider promotion this season.
