Not bad mate, certainly feeling better about our prospects now than I did this time yesterday. Better not let OLOF and Kissa see you've got another GIF sig!
Abuse of authority!!!! Worst game all season, Great interview by warnock excited to see becchio win every header, redfearns best decision as boss was taking Pugh off n bringing brown on this in turn gave Clayton confidence Pugh ran around like a headless chicken mistimed 3 challenges n looked ****
YWBK, not trying to make Warnock look good but he was pretty much manager for second half from what I can gather. Anyway, If anyone wants highlights here they are:
Becchio's really finding his goal scoring rhythm again, good to see. If I were Warnock I would challenge him to beat McCormack as our top scorer for the season
Marko, Becchio isn't playing well though. I would prefer him to play well and goals come from other positions to him playing **** but scoring a goal every 2 games. That goal wasn't in fairness but a lot of his recent goals have been quite lucky, you could argue he was in the right position at the right time but they have still been very scrappy goals he has scored. I'll be interested to see where Warnock will play Snoddy, from his interview sounds like he is going to play him centrally
When Becchio and Keogh were out earlier in the season I was thinking Snodgrass would do brilliantly as a holding centre forward alongside McCormack, so I imagine he'd do well in that pocket. Who he's going to play on the wings will be interesting, I hope he can get Sam back to his best. I imagine Sam has been left out as I'd heard he can be quite lazy in training, kick up the ass from Neil and should see him more motivated. Other than that we only really have Townsend. Nunez isn't good enough for the wing and neither is White. It's a sad state of affairs when half your first choice players are loanees. This has got to stop, but I know it won't, 70 odd loan players since bates took over.
Of course he also played a big part in our first goal. Beckford did **** all for the team but we were all happy because he scored, Becchio usually does more for the team but even in a bad run of form he is still sticking them away. Of course he's no Keogh...
Marko, I always thought the natural progression for snoddy was in the middle given his lack of pace. You never know though maybe Warnock just thought Snoddy in the middle for that game would work but he is going to continue out wide Well Simon he is no keogh but im not saying he isn't working hard but he's working almost too hard if that makes sense, trying too hard to get it going and its not natural therefore nothing is working for the guy. I still stand by he needs to work on his link-up play and work on his variations of what is going to do. Far too predictable for me
In regards to comments that Warnock was only the manager for the second half, I think it would be pretty naive to believe he never had a say on the starting 11 and the way the team was told to go out and play...
Ristac in all honesty I dont think he was supposed to have any say whatsoever. He went in prior to the game though so he may have said some things but he was on the phone for the entire second half. I can't decide whether he had much to do with it or its just him being an arrogant twat and taking credit for a win when he wasn't even manager. Who knows?
He was officially the Leeds United manager for the entire game so had full authority to take charge. The only reason he sat in the stands was because he hadn't had chance to get to know his new players and what they can do. Of course, what little he did know was more than enough for him to outmanage redfearn with his eyes closed
Townsend and Bruce both started, I am sure those changes were at the request of Warnock, I have no doubt in the slightest that NW picked the starting 11 and tactics
Colin wont have picked the team. If it was his team and tactics then he'd have definitely been on the bench
