Morning Everyone, Warnock is raiding former club QPR, and bringing in one of his old coaching team mates, Ronnie Jepson will be joing us, thoughts? Unlucky Millwall, not a bad result against a team in the top flight!!! Thoughts on the game Its amazing what one good result can do!!! Just before donny got there second, the odds were 3/1 that we would (yet again) turn things around and come away with a win, just like we have more than any other team in the Championship. I felt the odds should have been 7/1 so left it alone I need some tips from TC. Todays topic is, could we still go up??? We are on 48 points !!! 42 points up for grabs !!! Looking back over the last six years, the team finishing in the last play off place has had the following points :- Forest 75 Blackpool 70 Preston 74 Watford 70 Southampton 75 Palace 75 Song of the day, Don't stop believing, Journeys Version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCy7lLQwToI
Good Moaning Elland. Where did you hear about Ronnie Jepson? I know he's Development Coach at QPR and was also with Warnock at Palace, so can see that there is a strong possibility of this taking place. Also hear after watching the tripe at the back against Donny, Warnock has sounded out Fitz Hall from QPR on a loan deal, although I don't have any online sauces for this "news". Has the Grayson coaching team been fully relieved of their duties now?
Anything that means I don't remember what I was doing prior to the sauce taking it's effect. I think today it is called "alcoholism" The One Size Fits Hall comment is gathering pace, so who knows....
Morning all, on a side note Elland, in two years time will you still be including Millwall on the morning thread when we're in the Prem & they're in L2?
We can still get promoted, but it would be by the playoffs and provided that NW can make serious changes very early on. It'd be great if we get a few of the QPR players on loan, with a view to permanent in the summer. But imagine if we did get promoted...Billy Paynter in the Premiership
we have no problem scoring goals, im sure warnocks first priority is to sort out the back four and get a skipper who is not a goalkeeper possibly snoddy ? our chances are now 50-50 on making the play offs before the managerial appointment they were less than zero !
If we average two points per game from now till the end of the season we'd end up with 76 points which would see us in a play-off place. That's achievable. Then comes the hard part as we'll probably be in there with any three of Southampton, Birmingham, Cardiff, Reading & Blackpool & I don't fancy our chances against that lot to be honest.
Perhaps we need the right signing to form a classic partnership with Paynter. Anyone know a good decorator? (I'm here all week. Hmm, I'll get me coat).
But then we'll be the team with momentum going into the play-offs and anything can happen. Bloody hell my glass is starting to look almost half full again, somebody slap me !!!!
Fair point as the play-offs are all about form and nerve so at least you'd have the former if not the latter.
