Yeah, I see what you did.

Rangers fans are racist and sectarian
Neil Lennon gets racial and sectarian abuse.....

    The two are totally unrelated.

Rangers fans are responsible for the abuse (i know this as do you -whatever the reasons behind the abuse you know its gers fans - whether you want them to be or not). Rangers FC are the people who can do something about it. Therefore they are linked to the abuse.

MOst Rangers fans are decent people. Most wouldnt dream of wishing Neil Lennons death in reality. However the hatred even the good rangers fans show towards lennon leaves the door open for the idiotic minority to take it to far.

Celtic are no angels. When the novo song did the rounds i heard ned Celtic fans tell the even bigger ned celtic fans who were singing it to shut the **** up.

I've been to many away game with Celtic and ive seen how the clubs security and our own fans quickly stamp out trouble and stupid songs that could give the club a bad name or get us in trouble.

Given Rangers fans recent antics i cant say your club does the same.

Its not just Lennon its everything with your mob. The billy boys got you in trouble and ive noticed its back on the songsheet. your lot need to learn. your club and decent fans need to try and stamp it out.

You cant stand back and say im not responsible because i just detest him (for no real reason) YOUR conduct has helped make a situation where death threats have been made - like it or not you have contributed. Your stance on here saying Lennon brings it on himself (and the media doing likewise) only allows the bampots to think theyve done nothing wrong.

If next time the carry out their threats, your club and fans lack of action will partly be responsible

Rangers fc has nothing AT ALL to do with any ****ed up prick sending bullets/death threats or setting up FB pages.

How can Rangers FC tackle an individual from doing anything? Are Rangers supposed to start up a police state?

The only thing that links Rangers FC with the abuse dished out to Lennon is that there is a strong possibility that these individuals may be Rangers fans.

Both Rangers and Celtic have went to great lengths to put a stop to the supposed 'Scotlands Shame' which is allegedly 'sectarianism'.

There is only so much the clubs can do. Arseholes will be arseholes, regardless if it's football, gangs, race, religion, ****ing anything.

I've never said that I disliked or detested Lennon, fortunately, a football manager of my clubs rivals is of no real significance to me, surprising as that sounds.

Lennons behaviour has made him a hate figure at every ground in Scotland, nothing to do with his religion. Granted, it now seems that people have taken it to far, way too far, and there is no excuse for that at all. Do you understand that?

Football in Scotland has made great strides in 30 years, now we have a situation where 'songs' are offending people, where as 30 years ago, it was gang warfare in the terracings, drunken behaviour and pitch invasions, which were all common place.

You Irish lhads seem to think that Scotland is the same as NI in terms of sectarianism, it is not even close.

And i'll agree with you on this issue. I'd say from experience its worse in Scotland. In ireland we're doing somehting about it. Its getting a lot better (then again it was worse).

But we all have faced up to it. The bitterness cant go on. NI is now a place i'll gladly take my young family to. i'd not bring my missus and kids to Glasgow on a matchday though

    Why is it pish?

You might be amongst the decent sort who condemn this stuff going on, but so many of your support sit on their hands whilst listening to racist and sectarian singing. That directly contributes to the attitudes and actions presently manifesting itself.

Anportmorbhoy posted that Celtic fans tackled what was directed at Novo. Celtic fans certainly tackled what was directed at mark Walters.

I have absolutely no reason to believe that the same thing is happening at Ibrox. If it is, then show me how I am wrong. I am genuinely interested to know if there is any progressive elements amongst your support at all.

As in his religion was evident from day one. His name alone and place of birth meant you all knew he was catholic before he signed. Some people you cant tell....i.e Dev -a protestant Celtic fan....Frank the Tank...a catholic Rangers fan if im not mistaken.

I realise your feelings towards both these are probably twisted given your clearly defined "views" evidenced on here

Why would I be ashamed of my faith Girvan?

Didn't you read what your pal Edge said? We can't blame the racist and sectarian Rangers fans for the racist and Sectarian abuse that Neill Lennon gets....I am sure even a dunce like you can work out how the rest of this conversation goes.

Where is this racism that you talk of? Or is it sectarianism? Or are you using 2 words to describe the one 'act'?

Amportbhoy says what? That Celtic fans shouted down the Novo song? But it was still sung anyway. There is ofcourse no evidence that this 'shouting down' actually happened anyway.

Was the racist abuse of Diouff shouted down? It was pretty clear in the front page of the Sun that a Celtic 'fan' was openly making monkey noises and arching his arms in a monkey fashion towards Diouff, and Celtic fans were next to him laughing at him? Is that 'shouting down'?

No, again, Celtic fans, blinded by the hatred of all things Rangers, choose to ignore their own faults, and focus on the old 'youse are worser than us' arguement.

Tiresome, boring, tedious. and belongs on 606.

If you want to have an adult discussion, then we can. But, from my point of view, I could point out hundreds of incidents involving Celtic fans in recent years that have tarnished their 'good' name, and you could do likewise.

But, I really can't be arsed going over the same ****e day after day.

Of course i cant prove it. These are experiences i've witnessed. Ive heard many a celtic fan say they've witnessed likewise.

Our support has improved significantly IMO in recent years

Your support has been involved in Manchester and had fines from UEFA - you were warned against singing the billy boys - yet still sing it

We were warned against singing the novo song - and it died out

    See the trend?

Im not for a second saying we are angels us celtic fans - far from it. Some of the ****e associated with my club makes me cringe - especially all of the IRA and irish ****e (im an irish republican too - but i dont go to celtic to profess my political views) Thankfully ive seen this slowly but surely reduce - and hopefully go altogether - we have plenty of football songs to sing - political ones arent needed

What i am saying is we do something about it.

You lot shrug it off - like you are on this very issue.

Yes it was a numpty who sent lennon the death threats. Yes it might have happened anyway.

BUT you can help by doing your bit - as can your club! Im not saying it will all go away - but it cant hurt for you lot to try???!!
