Hope we get a good one for next season maybe a retro look, hopefully with a red middle stripe and maybe red sleaves summit slightly different. Black shorts obviously and keep the red socks
Are they not bothering with the countdown this year? they normally do a countdown reveal type thingy.
As long as the team continues to improve at the current rate, I dont give a monkies what the new strip is like. Monkies sorry poolie no pun intended
i was sure there was a rule about how often you could change your kit, unless you changed shirt sponsor or manufacturer?? we've changed shirts every year for god knows how long now. if we are getting a new one, i agree with poolie, something retro styled, and i wouldn't mind us keeping the away shirt, it's class. and no custard colours. or pink.
ah ok, always thought it was a stupid rule, supply and demand and that. explains why they were practically giving away this season's kit last month. this will be our last year of the current umbro deal then?? what do people want for next year??
I'm not arsed if it's particularly retro-looking or not, just something that is off-template would be nice.
I think to progress the club a renowned kit supplier is an absolute must. Nike, Puma or Adidas, in simple terms. I'd like Adidas, if i had the choice. I look at teams like Birmingham and West Ham, and i think the kit supplier makes the team look 'small', if that makes sense to anyone.
Would like us to get Kappa but wouldn't mind Adidas or Nike and yer I agree about your comment regarding Birmingham and West Ham
i know exactly what you mean, it makes them look like "budget" operations. be interesting to see how the spurs ones turn out next season, they are getting a huge amount for them but i wonder if they'll look tacky by virtue of not being a typical football kit manufacturer. if i could choose now, i'd go for adidas for us, though those kappa mock ups from a while back were pretty easy on the eye.
To be fair mate, under armour supply kits for half the Bundesliga, and they make boots and balls as well. Their kits are generally ****-ugly mind.
I don't think the manufacturer matters, as long as it looks good. I quite liked this year's one, but the 09-10 home shirt was my favourite of recent times.
I would really like to see something shockingly different if that's possible to do within the concept of sticking with the red and white stripes, which of course is a must.
