  2. 2 full backs - ~£30m combined
    Hummels - ~£20m
    2nd CB - ~£15m
    Goetze - ~£30m
    Hazard - ~£30m
    Vargas - ~£20m
    M'Vila - ~£20m
    Podolski ~£20m

    9 players for £185m

16 players out (listed on another thread) ~£100m

    Net spend ~£85m

    Title winning team.

Busy summer if we are serious.

  3. Well Mr Falcon

There is the continuing problem that Walcott is played out of position. A Wenger trait it seems.

I still think we ought to try him out as a striker ( his natural role and for which he was sourced ) and as auggested by our capt himself, RvP in a secondary position. In fact The Great Mr Bergkamp suggested that RvP adopt this position too. Then if Walcott messes up, then at least we'll know for sure. If we sold him and he turns out to be a 20+ goal a year player and dumps us out of some competition, we would end up even more sorry. This would be the best time to try it out now. What have we to lose?

Which other thread? Problem with selling 16 players if you saturate the market. It will take time to shift the dead wood unfortunatly.

I cant see theo being good anywhere. He just isnt a good footballer. I think he is way too weak for cf. He gets pushed off the ball out wide. Move him in the middle and his lack of strength and control would be even more obvious to see.

  10. With this manager, board, negotiating team and owner?

As it is pal, I fear for the next year. It could turn out to be a very un-Feng Shui 8th!!!! :steam:

I think he should remain as a super sub
A loan spell might even do him some good

Agree. He is a good super sub and a good squad player. Just not a guy who should be on the team sheet every week.

    Kos and M'Sacker are good
We need backups yes, but not starters

CBs should be Kos, M'Sacker, TV, Iggy, Bartely, Backup CB

  16. Only Merts is a starter in my view.

i would partner him with Hummels and bring in 1 more back up CB to go with Kos.

Bartley and Miquel as development players.

    Vermaelen, Djourou, Squillaci out.

I'm a bit iffy with selling TV knowing our injury record, but he's currently our 3rd choice CB

  18. Players out or demoted:

sell Vermaelen £10m (controversial yes - but for the reasons I have stated. He wont play back up so sell)

sell Sagna £8m (dont rate him nearly as highly as some - gets beaten for pace, leaves too much space and lacks the ability to cross - ever, which is vital for our game)

sell Song £10m (used to rate him, but patience has worn thin with his inconsistency and attitude)

demote Santos (useful back up and might actually get better after another season)

demote Arteta (good, but not good enough to get us back to challenging for the PL. Useful back up)

sell Walcott £20m (fed up with him. Inconsistent. Plays with fear and refuses to take players on.)

demote Gervinho (like him, but is just too weak mentally. Needs to get some fire in his belly before being considered for the first team - useful impact sub)

Back ups that I would sell - all of which are way below standard for us in my opinion:

    Djourou £5m
    Squillaci £3m
    Benayoun (end loan)
    Ramsey £12m
    Park £1m
    Chamakh £5m
    Mannone £1m
    Diaby £1m
    Denilson £5m
    Gibbs £7m
    Bendtner £7m
    Vela £5m

A total of 16 players out and 3 demoted.

    ~£100m from sales.

Wow. I really rate TV. Just feel injuries and playing left back have set him back. He wont be sold and I dont think we should sell him. I actually think cb and gk is where we dont need strengthening. I think we need some quality footballers. The defence has just been unsettled. As a back line I think we are ok. Need a holding midfielder (4 years and wenger still hasnt realised) and a playmaker and probably a decent striker who can play wide too. O and a left back
