The financial media are already muttering about the possibility/likelyhood of yet another/deeper Credit Crunch. If that happens then all bets are off!
http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/c47d3986-d492-11e0-a42b-00144feab49a.html#axzz1mq1FbYIe That was the last report I saw concerning Man Utd's debt. Net down was down to £308m having been around £700m when the Glazers took over.
Our revenue is also in the region of £200m to £250m per annum. Take away wages, money on transfer, any other overheads and debt repayments and we still run at a profit. Man Utd's debt is not going to swallow them up like some of you hope.
Not for long... when Fergie retires and your average team (compared to previous years) can't get the motivation they're currently getting from Fergie. Also all the youngsters will start supporting $ity as they're young and naive. The decline is on the cards - all great things come to an end Berb. History will tell you that in pretty much every area in life....
£30M pre tax profits according to the sales pitch you posted berb. Would I be wrong in assuming that the £500M bond is not included in that debt also? Plus have Red football explained how and where the money come from to pay off the £250M PIK loans?
Berb, You can't get past the fact that you are carrying an incredible amount of debt -which is secured on the club. I truly hope that it doesn't happen to you but if you lose your job, how long can you continue to service your debts on JSA? Now, every £ that you have to spend servicing debt is a £ that you can't spend on improving your club.
I'm so terrified of the clubs stability at present. My only hope is that United employ you guys to sort this mess out.
Gareth Southgate and Adrian Chiles are getting a lot of screen time just recently. Although I've seen them 3 times this week, I still can't decide who's the ugliest.
Man Utd have enough money coming in to service the debt and still spend money in other areas (wages, transfers etc).
We have a lot of good young players in our squad, Skylarker. Our squad is a lot better than people make out.
We have good young/youngish players in Cleverley, Young, Valencia and Nani. The only area that really needs strengthening is our central midfield (unless Pogba turns out to be as good as some are saying).
