When would be a good time ? After 10 years of slipping backwards and finishing 10th and with no decent players left at the club because they all left to play for more competitive clubs ??

i agree a change of strategy is needed, invest 60-80m in say 2-3 top drawer youngsters, people like hazard, gotze and experienced cover in attack and get rid of some of the deadwood players that have been given years to prove they are good enough but havnt stepped up (bendtner, djourou, denilson) as well as getting rid of players who havnt produced like chamakh and arshavin...

to sum up, i believe wenger is the right man, but a change of strategy is needed... whats the point of having millions in the bank whilst wasting it on mertesacker and arteta? if you are to invest in youth, at least buy good youth players whilst having experienced quality, someone like drogba in the summer?

  4. We have been dreaming about this for months Swamp and in a number of areas, even longer.

Sadly it'll probably never happen under this manager and board. Neither will spend it seems and our negotiating team of Gazidis and Law are about as useful as a watering can in a Saharan drought. Arsenal rarely buy quality that can be turned out immediately on the pitch and when they have quality, it is loaned out, like Ryo Miyaichi for instance. Arsene has no idea about squad rotation as well so he puts out the same tired players, some of whom have qualities which are questionable.

I'm sorry. Arsene's had his day. He isn't going to change and change is needed. If he does change I would love him to stay on till his contract expires. Then we can honour him and thank him for services rendered. If he takes this team down, sadly no one will be inclined to do that.
