Seeing as MON has transformed sunderland in such a short time, as much as i hate to think this is he the man for the England Job? He is simply as good a manager i have seen since his mentor cloughie. Dont want to start a war but if it best man for the job he got to be it, MR R is like delboy and i could have another cockney chancer running anything ever again.
I hope to God they leave MON out of the reckoning. Redknapp is the popular presses choice by a mile, personally I think this a backlash against foreign coaches and it also sells their papers. With David Diehn at the FA I get a suspicion that the current Wenger situation could play right into his hands considering Wenger's coaching credentials and history in world football. Diehn was instrumental getting George Graham out of Highbury to make way for Wenger and it is only this season that there has been the great unrest with the supporters who are scared of Spurs success at the moment. I reckon Wenger is too intelligent to take much more crap from the Arsenal fans and becoming national coach would be a great get out for him and the club.
With our supporters pathetic response to what has been a remarkable turn around since MON arrived, who could really blame him if he decided he would be more appreciated elsewhere..
I don't think MON is suited to international management, could be wrong - Redknapp seems a better fit, sure he would love the extended breaks between games, more time to spend with his dogs!
Fortunately for us now, I feel that the FA have backed themselves so tight into a corner that they’ll have to appoint an English born manager.
Think its pretty much nailed on for 'arry although I would be a very happy man were he to take the reins of the RoI should Trappatoni call it a day after the Euros
