January 2011 we seemed to be in a very healthy position....

    (1) We were in all 4 competitions
    (2) Almunia was finally out of the side
    (3) RVP was fit and hitting some form
    (4) Wilshere was playing well beyond his years and seemed like the future of our club could be built around him
    (5) Nasri had just had 3-4 phenomenal months

Clichy and Walcott were playing ok but you sensed we might need to strengthen in their positions.

    Maybe a new left back, back up CB and striker + Hazard and kept Nasri and Cesc we'd have had IMO an impressive 1st team;

    ---------Szczesny

    Sagna---TV---Kos---(Enrique)

    ------------Song

    -------Cesc----Wilshere

    (Hazard)----------------Nasri

    -------------RVP

Losing Cesc and Nasri without quality replacements (Arteta & Gervinhio???) then failing to add much on top of that was a disaster. There isn't enough quality for a 4-3-3 formation and the players on the bench don't have the ability to add anything to the team.

Sagna and Wilshere's injuries have hurt us but we've lost far too much quality in the squad in just over 12 months!!!

Kos has improved and AOC has massive potential but most others have gone backwards in their progress or the additions are clearly not good enough

Ramsey, TV, Song, Walcott are all far worse than less year...Arteta is solid but nothing special, Mertersaker is the slowes CB to ever wear the shirt

Wenger can be excused from being forced to let Cesc go to his boyhood team but failure to probably replace in excusable. And the other players have lost the potential they had so we are only going backwards.

Others will leave this summer so I'd rather we start to build with a new coach then repeat the same mistakes

  3. It certainly was.

In January 2011, Wenger should have strengthened the defence - but didnt.

In summer 2011, Wenger should have strengthened the midfield, forward line, and attack - but did it too late (4-5 games into the season, by which time we were more or less out of the title race). He panicked on the last day of the transfer window having been stupid enough to believe Fabregas and Nasri were staying - he got good but not great players.

In January 2012 he stood by and did nothing - except getting Henry for 6 weeks - whilst our defence was in disarray.

In all three transfer windows he should have had players in on the day the window opened - January 1st! and the first available day of the summer window.

He has seriously ****ed up the last three transfer windows and shown a complete lack of awareness of what was needed.

We've been saying the same for years now and still nothing gets done.
