Just trying to think back to the wonderful spn and trying to remember who from those days are still on here. I can thinkk of MM, Dev, Gambol, rogueleader and monacoger I think. Sometimes Admiral Pure as well. Is that the lot? spn was great until the infamous select curry night and Higginsgate which then promoted a spiralling downward meltdown trend and not606 was fine to begin with but then the Mopes intervened. Popeye, Cocket, BH, Frank, etc all good guys with a wonderful disposition towrads the preposterous, ridiculous and wumaboutery. God Bless em.
I rarely posted on it but it did pass a helluva lot of quiet night-shifts and kept me entertained. I'm old and forgetful and it does my nut in when people change their user names. I know Dougie is Kim Jong - I think it was Dougie that walked the West Highland Way and made a thread about it. There was a certain quality about the ****e that was posted and it was hilarious. I miss it.
That's another thing - I don't recall their being as much bitterness on the old forum - plenty slagging and wumery between tims and bluenoses but not the bitterness and hatred posted these days.
The bitterness was always there...whenever rangers lost There's a few hof wits on the Celtic board right enough, but I think most of us are just ripping it a bit tbh. You'd do it if the shoe was on the other foot
Agreed,I might try to rip the pish but the bitterness and hatred from some is almost tangible and I can't understand how such depth of feeling can be generated. I might hate someone if they hurt my family in some way but there's some on here who are consumed by it. It's ****ing football not a matter of life oor death.
