This but you could argue that it's Arsene who buys them. But I do think Wenger is a good manager and if Nasri and Fabregas were correctly replaced along with a quality CB who can actually stay fit then they'd be cemented in 4th.

im ignoring it because the fact that you include the champions league at all shows youre still quite deluded about the team. they are hopeless, there are maybe 3-4 players in your team that could make it into city/spurs/utds teams at best at the moment.
I got a lot of stick on here early season for saying a combined Arsenal - Spurs selection would have 7 Spurs players. I am up to 10 now, possibly 9 if you throw the Chelsea squad into the mix too
yes he does buy them...your latest best buy is OXO..young and without doubt a profit to be made if sold on...he cant go and buy finished articles..Wenger's teams in the last 7 years or so have missed leaders..you had Cesc.....you got him for peanuts..and a big profit had to be made..it was out of Wenger's hands..when you had the invincibles you had a team with about 8 players that were at their peak....players with not much sell on potential but very much ready for the battle...Wenger cant do that now..now everything is done with money in mind ..and success is only important on the pitch to your board because it makes money not trophies....yes he picks the team....but he has to dilly dally with limited squad potential and thats why he is making unorthodox decisions on the pitch..hes stuck for options...i dont blame Wenger...i blame the board and then the players...mark my words whoever gets Wenger next will have one hell of a manager...id love him at Spurs if HR left..he would be encouraged to spend and he would have a good team to mould....hes proven quality.
I thought they would fight today. What's clear is that Wenger can do nothing at all to motivate the players. They are slow and one dimensional. The changes would have been slight if Wenger was put under enough pressure to change years ago, but now we are at crisis point. No exaggeration, but we may be in for 5 plus years of recovering and rebuilding from the damage Wenger has done over the last 3 years.
