2.50 Lingfield Sunset Kitty 12/1 I've got to stick with Sunset Kitty after she was absolutely taken out of it on her last start which I'm completely ignoring. Formerly trained by Walter Swinburn, Sunset Kitty made a very good start to her career for Mike Murphy when a very eye catching 3rd after a 5 month break at Kempton back in December off a mark of 84. After missing the kick by at least 5 lengths, she came from the back of the field to finish an excellent 3.5L beaten 3rd and I think she would have gone very close to landing the spoils. The form of that race has worked out very nicely and is very relevant to todays race with the 2 currently heading the market Lockantanks and Tarooq finishing 1st and 2nd that day. In comparison to that race, Sunset Kitty is 7lb better off than Lockantanks with no change with Tarooq and considering she broke so badly I certainly think she can reverse the form of that day. 2 starts back Sunset Kitty duly made up for her unlucky 3rd when winning off the same mark at Kempton in January. After breaking on terms and travelling extremely well into her race, Sunset Kitty took a little while to get going but she eventually got up to win by a short head, although I think she had a fair bit more in hand that day. The form of that race has worked out well too with the 2nd Shifting Star winning off a 1lb higher mark on his next start. As a result of that win, Sunset Kitty was raised 3lb to a mark of 87 which I think was very fair. LTO she was stepped up in trip and grade to a class 2 at Lingfield but was completely cut off by the eventual winner and you have to ignore that run. Today again represents a Class 2 contest but back over a mile which she is guaranteed to stay. She clearly likes Lingfield, winning over C+D on only 2 starts at the track. I think its telling that connections are willing to give her another try in a Class 2 event. Shane Kelly takes the ride again having being her pilot on the last 2 starts and the only negative I can really see is her draw in stall 11, which shouldn't prove detrimental to her chances given she likes to come from off the pace. I am absolutely convinced she'll be able to defy her current mark of 87 in the near future and hopefully she can do it today.
thanks for the reminder ROTO i was on last time you put that up, was hammered in to the rail and almost stopped will be on ew
I wouldn't say I'm confident but I Shot The Sheriff ran well on bumper debut and at 16/1 is my each way shout in the 4.45
also are Jockeys becoming more like footballers? We have the Hayley Turner snood, the black pants of Spencer and now Choc and his red gloves
Nicholls form is very worrying for me. Am I making a meal over it or do they seem to be under par? If so, what does that mean with Zarkandar's run yesterday?
Nass I haven't noticed tbh mate. But Hold Fast was awful yesterday so maybe a valid excuse as a few have been poor today as well Hells Bay in the next- has travelled really well for a long way last twice - dropped a few lbs - think he can go well at a big price 28/1 E.W
